Nice location

My daughter and I traveled to St. Louis as her last mini vacation prior to entering the work force. We had a great time in St. Louis enjoying the Science Museum, the zoo, attending Shakespeare in the Park and taking in the sites and sounds of the city. Mario's apartment was the perfect location to easily get to all of the sites we went to. The zoo is a short walk over HWY 64/40. We felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood. I enjoyed the quaint feeling of the order building. We enjoyed lazy mornings and a couple quiet evenings indoors.

The recommendation I would suggest is on the cleanliness of the apartment. The surface cleanliness was fine, but while lying on the floor there were many dust bunnies and a water bottle under a dresser. The bathroom floor was also dirty.

I would like to travel to St. Louis with my husband and I would stay at this location again.

Overall the apartment was very nice. Location was good access to everything a lot of places walking distance really enjoyed the stay in St Louis

Perfect location, cute unit

We had a great stay. I was nervous about the cleanliness reviews that popped up after I had booked. It is an old building, we find them charming. The unit was immaculate. We had an issue getting online, and the owner was over within 10 minutes and fixed it. The A/C works great, nice TVs with Netflix and Amazon. The unit is right across the street from the turtle park, the zoo and a great pub. Parking was super easy, even during Fair St. Louis. There are a bunch of local restaurants and a brewery within walking distance. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Great location but dirty

We rented this property over the memorial day weekend. Upon arrival we also had trouble with the lockbox. Once I could figure out how to reach the owners, they responded immediately with help which I was very thankful for. Since our 5 year old was on her last leg from all the travel and standing in front the door trying the get in for a good 20 minutes, the first thing I went to do was turn on some cartoons for her. The TV also wasn't working properly...so again had to call the owner. Once again they were very responsive and ended up even coming over personally to fix the tv. When first entering the apartment it is visually appealing. Nice decor, furniture etc. but it doesn't take long to notice that YIKES...the place is not very clean! I noticed several reviews before renting that the apartment needed cleaning. All floors were very dirty and could tell the kitchen counters needed cleaning. I found an electric mop and broom in the closet and went to town. I wish I could have attached pictures to show how much I swept up. Nice little pile of hair and dirt. YUCK! The electric mop doesn't work that well but it was all we had so tried my best. There was no wash cloth in the kitchen so used several paper towels and the dish soap to clean the counter. The paper towels were dirty after wiping down the counter. I would suggest if you plan to stay here you plan on cleaning yourself....doesn't seem as if they are willing to change how this apartment is cleaned. We needed to use the washer and dryer at one point. Looked through the binder the owners left but found no directions on WHERE the laundry was located. Once again got ahold of the owners and they directed us to the location. Again..great response...just stinks that we had to contact them so many times . I would HIGHLY suggest not even attempting to wash clothes. The location of the laundry mat is straight out of a horror movie. Very dark, lights don't work, in a basement full of various junk items. It is creepy. We were desperate so washed the clothes. Afterwards, put money in the dryer and it wasn't working so were left with wet clothes. On the positive side, location is amazing. Park across street and pub is very family friendly. This place is close to everything. We won't stay again though as the uncleanliness far outweighs the positive.

Resposta do proprietário: Hi we do apologize that you weren't satisfied with the cleaning. It was unfortunate that it became evident that it was a hit and miss with who we had cleaning :(. And because of this we were paying someone and not getting the results that we had expected either. This led us to changing housekeepers as she was not living to our expectations. Additionally, we will have someone audit the cleaning to ensure that our new housekeeper is doing her job properly. There should have been instructions within the binder to find the laundry facility in the basement. We will gladly insert a new instructions guide to gain access since As for it not working we haven't heard of any complaints from the other residents of the building. We will look into and we suspect that the coin box is full. We believe the best solution at this point is suspend usage of the laundry facility until we redo the basement area where the laundry resides. It never really dawned on us as it is typical to find laundry rooms to be in bare basements shared with residents and their belongings. We will improve this.
