Este 200 anos de idade fazenda está situada no lado norte da península de Dingle. Ele está situado na na base do Monte Brandon a segunda montanha mais alta da Irlanda. Ela tem vista para Brandon Bay, que se abre para Tralee Bay. Ele está localizado a 1 ½ milhas de Cloghane Village e é uma área ideal para os visitantes que gostam da vida tranquila de andar, de pesca e outras actividades ao ar livre e que quente para os encantos de aldeias sonolentas com pequenas, pubs e lojas ainda menores. Wonderful Stay Everything We Were Looking For

We were looking for a base to set ourselves up in a location that was we could experinece the "true Ireland". This was a perfect choice. The cottage was located on a working sheep farm. It was fantastic and so interesting for the children and adults a like. Tremendous walks through sheltered valleys with amazing vistas done to the sea and surrounding mountains.

The walk up to the Loch Cruite directly behind the cottage was exceptional.

The cottage itself is a rennovated and modernised 200 year old cottage that exudes the charm of yester years with all the mod cons.

I would certainly recommend this property to our friends and relatives. It was very clean and well maintained and the owners were contactable and very helpful in ensuring that we had everything we needed and that our week was action packed and planned.

We had some fabulous nights in Cloghane village with traditional music and ballads in O'Connors Bar. Brandon Pier and Murphys Bar was also a highlight. There was also a good selectioon of quality "pub grub".

We were also ecstatic to discover that we had the Wild Atlantic Way right on our very door step and explored this at out leisure over the week.

The walks were fabulous and would highly recommend this property for those would love the great outdoors, fresh air and amazing vistas.

Ideal for walkers

The picture of the cottage very deceiving as there is a bungalow directly in front of the property.

We had a 4 month old baby with us and not impressed with the cot supplied. This was a timeshare exchange and was not up to the usual standard of timeshare properties.

Ideal for walkers and locals all very friendly, weather was kind to us and therefore out everyday, scenery brilliant, walks good.

Resposta do proprietário: Our traditional Irish cottage is located on the foothills of Mt Brandon. There is another residence located in front of our cottage but at a lower level as it too is on the Mountain Side. The views around are spectacular. The view of our cottage with the mountains in the background is as it is and most guests are blown away with the views and tranquility.Unfortunately there was a small stain on the mattress of the cot which we made available for this family and we apologised for this. We are very disappointed with this anonymous review especially since 99% of our reviews score a 5 Star.The description of our cottage states that it is a 200 year old cottage and obviously does not have ensuite bedrooms and marble tiled floors. Our cottage is full of Olde World charm and character with a traditional fireplace where turf can be burned and still has the traditional crane that carried the old kettles and pots. Our cottage is very cosy and suits a couple or family but probably too small for 6 adults.Our cottage is ideal for walkers and exploring the Dingle Peninsula and gives a great opportunity to meet locals in the pubs for music sessions.

A trip of a lifetime

I arrived from New York to Loch Cruite cottage in awe of the beautiful setting nestled at the foot of Mt Brandon. The cottage is located on the Dingle Penninsula adjacent to mountains and beaches with a culture immersed in history and tradition. It was everything I pictured the Irish countryside to be. While the cottage is situated on a working sheep farm it is also located near two small villages and a driving distance to Dingle Town. O Connors Pub in Cloghane village served us a delicious home cooked meal and a great pint! We were surprised and delighted to see Paddy the owner of our cottage ( a great musician) having a traditional music session at O Connors one night. What a fantastic evening. In Brandon there is a beautiful old pier surrounded by sandy beaches for many miles which kept my kids busy for hours on end. At the top of the pier there is Murphys's Pub another great traditional spot. Loch Cruite cottage is a perfect location for exploring the Dingle Penninsula with it's variety of water sports and horse riding amenities. My children also got to participate in farm life with farmer Brendan answering their endless questions. Weather was beautiful and contrary to popular belief there was no rain. A great trip... 5 stars! This is a definite for my future vacation plans.

Resposta do proprietário: It was a pleasure to meet with this family from Long Island, New York at the end of August. They definitely explored the Cloghane/ Brandon Region as their children were full of energy and the Mt Brandon climb was so easy for them all. Weather was fantastic for their week in our Cottage.hopefully we will see them return soon again as they seemed to love the Irish Culture especially the music in our local pubs and restaurants.

Great place to stay- had a really fun time!

Our family had a great time staying at Loch Cruite. Fabulous panoramic views of Mount Brandon and Brandon bay great for hiking or walking on the unspoilt beaches but also convenient for touring he Dingle Peninsula ( don't forget to take the Connor Pass to Dingle) there are some great pubs with Irish music sessions and good food in the local village and the cottage and property itself was really well-maintained - really clean along with having everything you would need for a home away from home vacation! Really friendly owners to deal with and very helpful with planning our stay. We really had a great time we will definitely put it on the list to come back in the very near future. We would definitely recommend Loch Cruite.

My first impression was that the cottage on the website didnt exist, well it did but was hidden behind another house which totally blocked the view. The picture on the website had to be taken from the roof of this house... . However we really enjoyed our stay, neighbours were very friendly and helpful. O connor pass is beautiful and also the local surroundings. While this is a working sheep farm, I feel when you pay for a holiday in a cottage, you dont expect sheep droppings to cover the paths around it. On several occasions I had to clean the childrens shoes when they came inside... not on in todays standards guys. I think either a farming enterprise, or a self catering holiday . They need to be totally seperate here. The cottage was well equipped, and very clean.

Resposta do proprietário: Our cottage is located in one of the most scenic valleys in Ireland at the foot of Mt Brandon and also with a spectacular view of the whole Mountain Range leading up to Conor Pass which connects the North side of the Dingle Peninsula with the South Side. A neighbours house is indeed in front of our cottage but at a lower level as both houses are on a mountain side that drops to the Owenmore River Valley. A sheep farm is next door and it is regrettable that some sheep droppings were deposited on the roadway in front of our cottage as the sheep were herded into the farmyard of our neighbours. If there was movement of sheep from Mt Brandon for Sheep Shearing they would have passed on the Right of Way roadway which runs between the two houses.Many families loved the experience of feeding pet lambs,watching the sheep shearing and helping the farmer move sheep with the aid of sheep dogs into various fields.Unfortunately sheep droppings are a by product of this great fun and can be easily washed using the outside tap facilities.I have brought the sheep dropping problem to the attention of the farmer. Our cottage is an ideal location for exploring fabulous Mountain Walks, trout fishing in Loch Cruite Corrie Lake, exploring the Dingle Peninsula,experiencing home cooking and local entertainment in the pubs of Cloghane and Brandon. Many visitors have called our cottage their 'Little Heaven' and return each year to re-energise from their hectic lifestyles.Peace and calm are guaranteed in this fabulous gem of a location for a quality break.

Authentic Irish Cottage with Quaint Village Nearby

We loved our stay at this clean, comfortable well stocked farm house nestled in the valley, surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains, lakes, and fields. Peaceful yet plenty to do there. Our family climbed the mountains and found hidden lakes with stunning views of the valley. Saw dolphins off of Brandon Point; had a picnic on a beach near Slea Head and enjoyed the shops and pubs in nearby Dingle. The locals in Cloghane are friendly and inviting, with great music and singing in the pubs at night. Though it was far from where we live in the USA, they made us feel at home.
