Mountain Top Cabin
The cabin was great. Everything worked as it should. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. We saw a bear one afternoon walking by the hot tub! The driveway was very steep but once you get to the top it is flat and has ample parking. We had six people in our group from 77 to 11 and everyone loved being up on the mountain! Thanks to Our hosts for checking on us and being available to us! Great Place!!
Had a great time. Cabin was everything and more.
Yes I would absolutely return to this location.😉😉😉😉😉
We didn't want to leave. It is beautiful here. Our family made wonderful memories and had lots of fun. So close to GSMNP and Gatlinburg. Lynn has thought of everything and was so helpful to us. I didn't anticipate having so many questions for her, and she is wonderful to work with. I hope we can come stay again.
We loved our stay at Honey Bear Ridge. The cabin was beautiful and surrounded by picturesque views of the Smokey Mountains. There were seven of us and there was plenty of room to accommodate all of us. We enjoyed the close proximity to downtown. We, also, enjoyed spending our evenings at the cabin. The game room kept us preoccupied and provided hours of entertainment. Lynn was a fantastic host. The information she provided prior to our arrival and the notebook she provides at the cabin, made our visit stress free. We made lots of fun memories and hope to return to Honey Bear Ridge in the future.
This cabin is wonderful. It made me feel at home. This was my first time in Gatlinburg and it was wonderful. Lynn really makes you feel at home in this cabin and I will definitely be returning.
Gorgeous cabin in the woods
This cabin was exceptionally clean and the owner (Lynn) was very helpful providing information both before we arrived and while we were there. The cabin is decorated with a country-bear theme, without going over the top. I would definitely not try to drive to the cabin at night because of the winding roads on the way up. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is not a space large enough where more than 4 people can sit together comfortably (except for the dining table) or a space where that many people can watch TV at the same time-we watched a football game while there. I thought with 3 bedrooms that the other general spaces would be larger. Looking through the pictures online after we got back, they are accurate and depict the whole cabin. The wraparound porches provide a lot of additional space, but it was turning colder when we were there, so we were not outside too much.
I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of Honey Bear Ridge. We try provide just that, a clean and comfortable place for families to enjoy, relax and spend family time together.
I am disheartened and shocked to hear that you were unable to find adequate seating for 4 guests in a cabin this large. I'm just not sure we are talking about the same cabin... For our family and the many others that have stayed, and reviewed Honey Bear Ridge, we've had more than enough, so I'm not sure how to respond, but I am truly sorry to hear that you were not able to find that for your group.
We have an open floor plan with seating on the main floor that consists of an over sized XL couch, 2 recliners , a desk with chair and a dining table that seats 8. Just outside on the deck to the main living area is seating for at least 13. The game room is also an open area with an XL couch in the seating area, a table with 4 chairs, and at least 1 other chair that can be moved to position anywhere. On this deck, there are more benches and rockers for your convenience. There are also more rockers on the upper level.
We are in the mountains, and there are steep and winding roads, as in most mountains. You have to keep in mind - THE PRIZE IS AT THE TOP :) We have never had a normal 2 wheel drive vehicle that couldn't make the drive under normal conditions. All of our roads are paved and maintained well by the city, unlike many other areas . I do encourage guests to arrive during daylight hours to get a feel for the area, as coming into strange mountain roads for the 1st time at night, is never a good idea. Once guests are familiar with the area, they are driving like locals in no time ...
Thank you again!
