THE LOCATION:

Welcome to Gjoa's Vineyard, an adult orientated, cozy little hideaway nestled in with the vineyards and orchards of the Naramata Bench overlooking Lake Okanagan. Our seven acre vineyard is located on the peaceful, sunny side of Lake Okanagan in the heart of wine country. We are a short walk to five wineries, a brewery, cidery and the best cheesemaker in the Valley. The Kettle Valley Bike/Walking Trail (KVR) is literally at your doorstep. We are a short bike ride to several additional wineries as well as the city of Penticton. We are a 5 minute drive to the beach at 3 mile road which is a nice swimming beach. Whether you visit us for the spring blossoms, the warm summer days, the Peach Festival, Wine-Fest or Autumn Harvest you are sure to fall in love with our magical little corner of the world! The Naramata Bench has recently been named the number one wine region in the world by the "Huffington Post". "Wine Enthusiast Magazine" listed it as one of the 10 best wine travel destinations and "USA Today" ranked it the second best wine region to visit. The Naramata Bench, where Gjoa's Vineyard is located is bursting with over the top natural beauty, and has some of the best views in North America.

NOTE: Please note that if you are booking in our summer months, wildfires and poor air quality can be a possibility. In the circumstance that Gjoa's Vineyard is under evacuation alert or order, the cancellation policy will be waived. In all other circumstances, our normal cancellation policy will apply. We strongly encourage purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance.

THE GUEST SUITE:

Gjoa's Vineyard offers a wonderful 900 sq. ft. one bedroom fully contained suite with a private patio overlooking Gjoa's Vineyard, Lake Okanagan and the mountains beyond. All you need to bring is your bike, your clubs, a beach blanket and your favorite book.

This suite is for the adult vacationer looking to take in the 54 wineries along the Naramata Bench, the most beautiful area in the Okanagan Valley all while staying in a gorgeous suite overlooking the vineyard, Lake Okanagan and the mountains beyond.

GUEST SUITE - AMENITIES

• one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds, goose down comforters with 2 walk-in closets.
• fully equipped newly renovated kitchen has a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, glassware, cutlery and plenty of wine glasses, all the necessities you would have in your own kitchen.
• well stocked kitchen with spices/coffee/tea/sugar etc.
• large dining room comfortably seats 6 adults around the harvest table.
• flat screen Frame TV with DVD player, plenty of DVD's/books, games, a Bose dock for your iPod and the focal point of the entire suite, a large wood burning fireplace.

Beautiful vineyard stay

The pictures don't due the property justice. The patio walkout was directly into the vineyard and was so beautiful and peaceful. We loved sitting on the patio with a glass a wine in the evening, they even provided blankets for the patio for those cooler evenings. I would highly recommend walking over to Hillside winery and buying a bottle of the Gjoa merlot. How often can you buy a bottle of wine made with the grapes from the vineyard you stayed at? Super fun. The property was very clean and well maintained and perfectly suited for my friend and I. Also loved using the bikes to ride up the KVR. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return if in the area again.

Great place to stay!

The views of the vineyard from the deck are beautiful! It was lovely having coffee in the morning and wine at night out on the deck enjoying the view. The suite had a very well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture to lounge on in the living room and a very comfy bed! Lots of storage and closet space so we could put our stuff away and feel like we were at home. Gjoa and John were wonderful hosts, we arrived later in the evening the day of check in and were greeted with corn on the cob and a bottle of wine! The KVR trail is basically right out the front door, we took advantage of walking along the trail most days. Walking distance to some wineries and a brewery was a bonus for sure! Hit the brewery for lunch a couple of times, delicious pizza. Gjoa and John, we truly enjoyed our visits with both of you, it was nice to get to know you. We will definitely be back! Barry & Donna

A weekend at Gjoa's

I can't begin to say how great a stay our weekend at Gjoa's was. The suite was huge, comfortable, quiet, close to a number of vineyards to start our tour and most of all the amazing back deck. The property is located perfectly between Naramata and Penticton so you never feel far from either. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay when you are in the area.

We have travelled the globe extensively and believe our vineyard and the Naramata Bench is a very special place. We decided to share our home so others can enjoy our area as much as we do. We think its working out very well since over half of our clients are now return customers that we call friends.

We fell in love with the area and the vineyard on our first visit to the area 17 years ago. The fabulous weather, warm evenings, local organic produce, friendly locals and fabulous wine are some of the best things Canada has to offer. The geography of the area is stunning with the bluffs along the Naramata Bench and the beauty of the setting. I believe Naramata Road is one of the most beautiful drives in Canada. We love the laid back pace of the area, life truly slows down in this gorgeous part of the world...and the wine is getting better every year.

We have renovated the suite over the period we have owned the property to make it more comfortable and enjoyable to our guests. We have tried to think of everything that would make a great stay. Enjoy a stroll through the vineyard at dusk to the pergola with a glass of wine in hand. Walk or bike along the KVR trail to visit several wineries that have fabulous wine and great food.
