I booked this apartment for my overseas relatives while they were in Sydney for my wedding. It is a well maintained apartment, with gorgeous views and is in a convenient location. The owner has been prompt with responses and have been lovely. I definitely recommend this place!
We were absolutely delighted with the apartment, excellent location, walking distance to everything you wish from restaurants, to shopping to museums, etc... The pool is fantastic, olympic lenght! The owners, made sure we had everything you need when you arrive with coffee & all, and milk! The kitchen is well equipped and provides basic items for cooking. The balcony is large and provides a beautiful view on downtown Sydney. It's well decorated with quality furniture. We highly recommend this location. Just wish I could have stayed longer. This is an excellent place to stay in Sydney. I stayed here with my husband and two kids. It is beautiful, clean and quiet and you cannot beat the location. We walked everywhere from this apartment-the botanical gardens, the opera house, the Sydney bridge, the great playground for kids right near by. I was a little worried that Darling Harbour was too touristy, but it wasn't. The apartment was so quiet and it was nice to be able to go out on the balcony and look out over the harbour and the city. The city lights at night are beautiful. It was nice to have a grocery store and lots of restaurants within walking distance. I do not understand why anyone would stay at a hotel when they can have a two-bedroom, two bathroom, condo with a kitchen and a view. I would recommend Sabine's place to anyone coming to Sydney.
The condo was absolutely wonderful and exactly as described and advertised. The views out of the large balcony were wonderful and allowed us to enjoy the light and water shows in Darling Harbour as part of Vivid Sydney. The beds were comfortable, the location as an end unit kept neighbor noises to a minimum, and the unit was filled with little touches that made the stay more pleasing. Fully stocked spices, certain basic condiments (like Vegemite!), local guides, power converters, and basic toiletries make a stunning apartment and location even better.
We stayed at Sydney Skyline for a week and had a great time there. The flat was very spacious, very clean and very quiet. The view from the balcony is to die for. The concierge at the reception desk is always ready to help which is great. Being able to park the car was also a very good thing. Communication with the owner was easy. However, we were a bit disappointed when we mentionned that there was no coffee machine in the apartment to hear that it had been broken but that instant coffee was provided instead. At $3290 per week, we would have appreciated the coffee machine to be replaced when we asked for it.
We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy our short time in Sydney! The views from the balcony, especially at night, are wonderful! The apartment was immaculate with everything we needed and close to the market for food. The twin beds in one room were perfect for the two single adults in our party and the washer/dryer was a bonus. It is within walking distance to many attractions and forms of transportation. It was easy to get to wherever we wanted to go. We began our stay with the Hop On Hop Off bus tour of the CDC and a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise. During our remaining four days we visited several attractions including a walking tour of the Rocks District, a matinee at the Opera House, the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, the Wildlife Sydney as well as Madame Tussauds. The Choo Choo Express at the Royal Botanical Gardens was a nice break from all of the walking for my 80 year old mother and her friend. We had the buffet dinner in the Sydney Tower where the views are magnificent (food just OK), shopped at the Queen Victoria Mall, rode the train to the Blue Mountains where we enjoyed the HOHO bus in that area, particularly the train museum with the gardens. The Opal and iVenture cards we found to be very useful. We booked several reservations through Viator prior to leaving home and highly recommend this company. We did not have time to visit any of the beaches, but plan to do so on a return visit with other family members. Hopefully this apartment will be available! I don't want to forget the men at the front desk who went out of their way to answer questions, store our luggage and help with taxi service upon our departure. Most of all, thank you to the owners, Sabine and Peter, for their excellent communication and for helping to make our first trip to Sydney a dream come true!
