It is just a short walk down sturdy steps to explore the tide pools below or to go to a pristine white sand beach in a secluded cove. If you prefer to play in the surf at a large public beach with lifeguards, it's only a seven-minute walk. Fishing on the Ocean Beach Pier and surfers add interest to your view (and your photos)! At night, the lights of La Jolla sparkle in the distance.

Walk to the main street of Ocean Beach, a quaint coastal town featuring family-owned businesses, cute cafes, a plethora of interesting shops, and natural food stores. There is even a Farmer's Market featuring live entertainment every Wednesday evening from four to seven. (Times vary during summer and winter months).

Paradise on the Pacific: Amazing Place with an Amazing owner

The Owner: Marty, the owner, deserves a standing ovation. She’s hands down the best, most accommodating owner we’ve ever encountered. Her communication was crystal clear, and she was just a call or text away whenever we needed anything. And guess what? When we checked in, there was a delightful surprise waiting for us—a bottle of wine on the table. Talk about a warm welcome! The Home: We were a family of five, including three teenage boys, and let me tell you, we all felt right at home. The condo was well-appointed, the beds were super comfy, and the location? Well, it couldn’t be more perfect. You’re a mere 20-minute drive from San Diego’s top attractions, and a quick 5-minute walk gets you to the charming shops at Ocean Beach. The View: Now, let’s talk about that view. I might’ve spent more time on the deck than inside the condo itself. The unobstructed views of the Pacific were simply stunning. Sunsets? Oh, they happened right in front of us, like a daily masterpiece. And guess what’s just below the condo? The amazing Tidepools! There’s a staircase leading down to them—one street up from where we stayed. It’s like having our own private aquarium to explore every day. In Summary: We’ve found our spot in San Diego, and we’re definitely coming back. If you’re after a great value, jaw-dropping views, and an owner who’s genuinely the nicest person, look no further.

Spring Break with Teens

Everything in the listing is accurate! We loved the location, with the beautiful view of the ocean and easy access to exploring the rocks and beaches nearby. We also liked that it was an easy walk to many restaurants, a Target, a farmer’s market held every Wednesday, and even a church we attended on Easter Sunday. It was even easy to drive south to the places we wanted to go downtown and north to other beaches and sites. The unit itself is located in a quiet 6-plex. There were many planes flying overhead, but we became accustomed to them quickly. The kitchen was loaded with everything you’d need to make full meals, and there was ample seating for dining inside and on the deck. My husband and I slept in one bedroom, our daughter in the other, and our son on the fold-out couch in the living room. There are several TVs, but we only used one. There was one small issue when it rained heavily, but we resolved it easily and Marty responded quickly. We spoke with her a few times during our stay, and she was very helpful with her information. All in all, would definitely stay at Marty’s Beach House again!

Great View & Great Host

We had a great stay at Marty's Beach House. The 2 best things are the amazing panoramic view from sunset cliffs and an amazing host! Marty cares about the property and your stay. The condominium is clean, well stocked, comfortable, and is in a great cliff-side location. Marty is easy to reach and very responsive. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and a nice note. Close walk to restaurants, groceries, and the beach. We loved taking long walks along the cliffs and spending our afternoons sitting on the balcony listening to the waves crash. Great sunsets and we even saw dolphins and seals. We loved it and can't wait to come back.

Seaside get-away

Wonderful location for an ocean-side vacation. The owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. The condo is beautiful and within easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants, as well as a perfect spot for enjoying sunsets.

I was born and raised in the city of San Diego. While furthering my education in both San Diego and Hawaii (among other places), my passion for the ocean became a daily event. I consider this condo my 'piece of Hawaii' without having to fly over the Pacific!! The constant 'music of the crashing waves' brings back relaxing memories. I hope they will do the same for you!
