Todos os quartos têm casa de banho, há uma sala de jantar com capacidade para seis, a sala de estar, que se abre para o pátio, está equipado com TV Sky, DVD e aparelho de som. A moradia tem o seu próprio jardim com churrasqueira e espreguiçadeira, com vista para o mar, golfe e de montanha. Há também duas piscinas comuns no complexo. Villa Francesca

We have been staying in Villa Francesca for the past five years, during that time the villa has been great.

It's always very clean well fitted out with a lovely garden.

It is situated a a gated complex with easy access to the main road to Marbella.

The villa has a very good wifi connection and Smart TV, but with such a lovely garden to sit in these items are secondary

We would certainly not have come to the villa twice a year for the past five years if there was any issues, and we are booked for later this year and again next year.

I would certainly have no reservations if recommending Villa Francesca and it's a pleasure to deal with the owner a Frances who is very careful who she lets the villa out to.

Holiday spoilt by non working air conditioning for 10 days . Disappointing experience.

Property security also an issue as the main bedroom shutters would not close . If you have another Accomodation option , we suggest you take it, as no AC in 40 degrees heat is not workable. This property was obviously not checked over before our arrival as the problem existed from day 1 , the whole AC unit had to be replaced .

Resposta do proprietário: Everything was working when the tenants arrived. The A/C broke down on the 4th day of their stay and I had the whole unit replaced as that was quicker than waiting for parts to repair the unit. This was all done within a week of hearing about the problem. The same with the bedroom shutters they were working when the tenants arrived. Strange it all broke down at the same time!?!? Tenants were quick to complain but not willing to stay in for workmen to turn up. They insisted for somebody to be there to protect their possessions while work was going on. Unreasonable request in my opinion. I know they were on holiday but a bit of give and take would have been appreciated. I did all in my power to fix the issues they had. Claire and Paul Murray were just very difficult to please. Would I recommend them to the HomeAway community? No. The tenants who were there before them in June didn't say there were problems with A/C and shutters. I don't want to point a finger of blame as I have no proof but...... This is the south of Spain in July. Regarding security - the villa is in a very secure gated community with 24hr security. I also refunded some of the rental money as a goodwill gesture. Some people are never satisfied!

I have given this property a realistic 3 star rating - there are much better and higher quality properties available in the area at lower cost - We have rented many times in this area - and not had an experience like this.

We booked for 14 days and left after 6 days - with no refund - I asked the owner to consider a good will gesture refund - but to no avail

The owner declined to acknowledge the shortcomings of the property.

Our experience.....

TV didn't work - she sent the gardener to fix it - but there was no satellite signal - she inferred it was something that we had done.....

Internet was virtually unusable - very slow and non-existent for long periods - she told me she never had any problems with it.

Rat droppings on the upstairs balcony

Enclosed (very small) garden with no view of the golf course due to high vegetation - which also resulted in very high infestation of mosquitos

Previous renters had a dog and the garden had 'suffered' due to this

No views of sea, golf course or mountains from ground floor - the only sea view is from the bedroom balcony - just

Poor quality linen, towels and no spare - but the house was adequately clean.

Swimming pool is communal but well kept - but is a 'schlep' away from the house - up and down about 40 steps

We couldn't recommend this place to anybody

The owner - who has now listed this place through an agency - declined to acknowledge any of the problems.

My recommendation would be to look elsewhere.....

Resposta do proprietário: The reviewer in question is well aware that, although everyone is entitled to their views, I do not agree with the criticisms. I have rented Villa Francesca for a number of years now with HomeAway and other agencies, and never had an adverse review. You only need to read the comments in the visitors book in the villa to see that people are very happy. I have many repeat bookings from satisfied clients who have become my friends. This is my personal home for a significant part of the year so I do find the comments hurtful. I use the TV and internet all the time and have had no problems. Please remember that this is the south of Spain, not central London, with connectivity to match. When I heard about the issues I immediately contacted the person who manages the property for me.The reviewer pretended not to be home when he first came to help and the second time help wasn't needed any more. He'd moved out before contacting the property manager. It is naive in the extreme to expect to stay on a golf course in September and not experience mosquitos. The photos make it very clear that this is a communal pool – and so big enough to actually swim in. The photos also realistically show the size of the private garden. Pets are not allowed, so it is unfortunate that the previous French tenants had chosen to ignore this and regrettably caused damage to the lawn. The fact that the reviewer had set up a place to move to within 6 days of arrival demonstrates that he had never really intended to stay 2 weeks and was just looking for reasons to leave at no cost. I had given him a substantial discount on the price on the website as well. I did indeed decline to refund any money, not just because I could not find another tenant at such short notice, but also because I refused to be intimidated by the threat of a bad review. I am confident that the description of my own lovely home is accurate – so much so that I invite you to come and stay and I will gladly refund 25% if you are not absolutely delighted.

Most relaxing holiday in years.

This beautiful villa is situated on the golf course with views as far as Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of Northern Africa.

The villa is tastefully decorated and has a fully fitted kitchen.

Management team were very helpful.

I would highly recommend this villa to anybody.
