Palais Excelsior exceeded all expectations

This apartment is very typical of the area. The location was superb and the actual apartment was very comfortable and really great for a weeks holiday. The walk into town just enough to justify the croissant at the other end. The beds were extremely comfortable and the other facilities within the apartment were all as expected. Valerie is a fountain of useful information with great suggestions for day trips and also restaurants. She was there if needed for any problems but not intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would love to visit the region again as there is so much to do.

Fantastic property perfect for a holiday in Cannes

This apartment is beautiful and well equipped. The apartment is clean and well maintained and it is a great size. Has two rooms with queen beds and a room with a single bed that also has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we need to cook. All the rooms are heated. The building has such charm with some features from the original building preserved but also has all the modern comforts. It provided a great base for the week we stayed here being just a short walk into town where there is a supermarket, shops, restaurants and a train station. The markets have all the fresh produce you need and run every day of the week. We didn't have a car and don't think it is needed as the train is so close. Despite staying in winter it only rained heavily on the day we flew out so the short walk isn't a problem. It is also in a nice quiet area which is just far enough out of the town centre to even be quite in the busy summer periods. Stayed here for a week and I would happily stay here again. Valerie gave us a warm welcome to the property and gave us lots of ideas of where we could go for day trips and also arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport in Nice and drive us back after. She speaks fluent English and communicating was easy.

Beautiful property in an excellent location

We can't say enough good things about Palais Excelsior! It is clean, spacious and above all, elegant. Valerie met us at the door, demonstrated all the apartment's features to us, and even gave us recommendations on what to see while we were in the area. Our group consisted of four adults and one teenager, and the living room served as a great gathering place for the family. The location is perfect--on a quiet street just a 10-minute walk from the train station and the major attractions of Cannes. We watched New Year's fireworks on the waterfront then walked up the hill to ring in 2018. We highly recommend this property!

A perfect place to stay!

Myself, husband and two young children thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay at Palais Excelsior during August. The building itself is so beautiful and french! The apartment was everything we expected and more. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (the beds were to die for!), and the garden terrace area was such a bonus to have. We spent many hours out there soaking up the sun with a rose' in hand! The location of the apartment was perfect, so close to all the action, yet is in a lovely quiet residential area away from the noise. Our 4 year old could easily walk everywhere (our 3 year old took the stroller option!). We were a very short walk to the amazing farmers market area (with everything you need - fresh produce, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, bars), the train station, beaches, main shopping streets and restaurants were also within close walking distance. Cannes itself had so much to offer; beaches, shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions, and a wonderful family friendly night life (ferris wheel, carousals, rides, games, markets, music and even an impressive fireworks display!). We loved our stay in Cannes. Our thanks to Valerie for organising the airport transfers and for her warm and welcoming service - she was always at hand for any questions/information.
