Just what we were looking for!

Fantastic house with LOTS of space for everyone to enjoy themselves but great rooms to get together and chat, have a glass of wine, or just snuggle. It was SO clean and it was very tastefully decorated. It truly was the best introduction to the Isle of Wight. We had never been and now want to return. Thank you!

Just perfect for those multi-generational or just multi-family visits! The location is a bit hard to beat too! Fantastic location and view of the seaside. The property is very spacious and perfect for families

The property is clean well maintained and modern. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. There is a great play area for children that has plenty of toys books and DVD. The location of the property is down a private road and is very quiet. We have a lovely time, the local pubs and restaurants are very friendly and food was a high standard.

Blown away with what a gorgeous, well decorated 3 storey house!!!

I stayed with my husband, 2 young kids and my parents and my sister and brother in law. It really felt home from home as all the basics (plus a lovely welcome pack!!) were there which made it even more lovely. We all loved it and were very impressed! I don't always leave reviews but had to leave one for this - thanks for giving us a fab 4 day break

Lovely house and nice stay, but some things need fixing

On the whole we agree with the other reviewers with regard to the size of the house and decor - lovely seaside touches and welcome basket. However, there is currently scaffolding erected on the house next door, and as the houses are terraced, it partially obscures the view from the balcony. Not much work was taking place fortunately, but we did open the bedroom curtains a couple of times, to be met with the sight of a workman. There doesn't seem to be much chance of it being removed any time soon (21st July 2017). We were not advised of it prior to our visit. Only the main bedroom looks out to sea, the other bedrooms have a street/hillside view at the back of the house. Kids were disappointed to find that the pool table was broken. Also the Sky reception in the main living room wasn't working properly which is not a problem if you don't want to watch TV, but we were keen to watch the Wimbledon final. Reported issues to the Property Manager but not fixed during our stay. There are lots of steep hills and steps - great for views but not so good for anyone with mobility issues. Nice little town to walk into with a selection of restaurants - can recommend the pub quiz at the Crab and Lobster

Resposta do proprietário: Thank you for your review and noting the things you enjoyed about the house. As we explained at the time, having a sea front house with a fabulous view brings with it a heavy toll in terms of wear and tear from the winds and sea spray and the lovely man, who we are fortunate to have as our neighbour, needed to address some of these things over the summer. We go to a lot of effort to try and make things lovely for our guests but some things are simply out of our control. We can't change the view from the back facing rooms or the steep walk down to the beach, although if people are infirm there is always the option of driving down and parking on the sea level. We also cannot insist that our neighbour removes his scaffolding. Whilst it is a bit unsightly looking upwards at the house, once you are on the balcony the only view it obscures is that of the neighbour's garden. The beautiful sea view out towards Steephill Cove is still very much there. The pool table was damaged by some previous guests and the repair we had done to tide over until a new one arrived did mean it was not playing perfectly. It has now been replaced. The common issue with the sky box is that sometimes the balcony chairs get put in front of the receiver and it does not receive all of th channels. If moving the chairs doesn't work then rebooting the box usually does. However, if all else fails there are three other TVs in the house. Thank you also for promoting some of the local Ventnor businesses. The number of small independent shops and restaurants in the town is one of the things we love most about being there. No mega chains in sight!

Beautiful House , on arrival we was blown by the size of the place , Perfect house for big family , very well maintained and clean house with the best sea view in Island ,can't ask for anything better ,, highly Recommend

In our family, we all have our favourite times of year to be there. Mine is in the Autumn, when you are tucked up warm inside with a nice glass of red wine, looking out to the sea as the storms rage. We also always do a watch check as the 4pm Brittany Ferry goes by!
