Beautiful Apartment - Perfect Location

A beautiful apartment and a very relaxing stay. The apartment is clean and well finished and has everything you could wish for within yards. Others have mentioned the bakery and Cranch's Pantry, but there is also a butcher's, a fishmonger's and a super wine shop within a few steps. The Salcombe Coffee Company also does great breakfasts and the Salcombe Yawl Deli makes delicious sandwiches to order and is very well stocked. There is noise from the pub and the bakery but nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn't cope with!

Only 18 minutes drive to the amazing Oyster Shack where we had one of the best meals ever. We will be back for another long weekend...hopefully when the weather is a bit better.

Very Impressed, perfect for a short break

We booked the apartment for 3 nights, to attend a friend's 50th birthday. The booking process was easy, and the meet/greet from Fiona was excellent, especially as we arrived late on the Thursday evening.

The apartment is superb, really spacious, much bigger than we were expecting, in particular, both bedrooms and the bathroom were all of a very good size. The decor and inish is superb, and the apartment was spotless.

One of the the best things about the apartment was that it came stocked with all the cleaning things that you could need, e.g DW tablets, Washing up liquid, clothes etc and a stock of tea/coffee and sugar etc.

It is right in the heart of Salcombe, so no steep hills to climb, but can be noisy, particulary with the pub next door, and the bakers oppsite, hich starts its operation early each morning.

However, this caused us no problems, and we just enjoyed being able to nip out and ome back to the apartment at will.

Highly recommend staying here, it really is superb, and easily accomodates two couples or a family of four, though if you prefer peace and tranquility, suggest you should perhaps look elsewhere.

Relaxing Long Weekend

We had a wonderful long relaxing weekend. The Christmas Street lights were up and made the streets look very pretty. The view of these from our window was great as you can see quite a way down the main street.

Although it's December the apartment was warm, comfortable and of a superb standard right down to kitchen utensils.The under floor heating was a great plus in the bathroom especially as it's December.

The pub next door had the log fire burning which made it very warm and cosy not to mention handy. Cranches Pantry a few doors down had everything you need from milk and bread to homemade chutneys.The Bakery and Off Licence are opposite and we were a stones throw from the harbour front. What more could you want? We didn't.... and will be back.

Great location

In the hub of the town with a bakery for your fresh croissants just opposite (they work hard - start at 3.30 am!) this apartment is high spec and excellent accomodation. Everything was of a high standard. If you are a cook just bring your own wooden spoon. Apart from that - great place to stay in sunny Salcombe.

Great Location

Great central location however; noisey & difficult location if you have a car and want to go to various beaches as have to walk along way to car park moving beach gear. Loved Salcombe felt relaxed after staying for a week, but the beds in Forstay were uncomfortable & the sofa although contempary and nice to look at was awful to sit on in the evenings! We came away a day early as we all had bad backs & were not looking forward to the noise from the band at the pub friday night..........

Dispite the noise & uncomfortable beds I'd recommend Salcombe.

  • To book this beautiful apartment send your enquiry by email, we will send by return a booking form with terms and conditions. A 30% deposit will secure the property with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
    Change over day: is Saturday from 15:00 h and out by 10:00 h the following Saturday, Bedding is provided and included in the price for full week bookings (please bring your own towels but we can arrange for these to be hired for you at your expense.)bedding and towels to be hired for stays shorter than 1 week.   • A security deposit of £100 is required this will be returned within seven days after the rental.
