A relaxing stay

A beautiful, traditional building with all the amenities we required. We were a bit concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but the fans provided worked really well with the high ceilings. We were warned by Alan our 'greeter' that WiFi could be a bit hit and miss ; which it did indeed prove to be, but it made no difference to our enjoyment of our stay (we used local cafe's internet instead when we needed it).

Afternoon sun on the charming balcony, an introduction to the local Rose wine via the welcoming bottle of vino (now a confirmed fan) and glorious weather during our stay. What more could we want.

We hope to return again and thank Frances for allowing us to enjoy her charming apartment and Alan for his help and guidance (and being so charming himself).

Could not recommend the apartment more.

My wife and I had a lovely holiday staying at Frances apartment in Antibes.

The apartment is very clean well kitted out,it is ideally situated for all the amenities ten minutes walk to train station five minutes walk for buses and five minutes walk to the or the old town.

Frances and Alan where most helpful and I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Comfortable apartment in a great location.

This was our 2nd visit to this very comfortable flat. It's very central, close to all amenities with everything provided for an easy holiday. Both the owners and the agent Alan ensured that our stay went smoothly. Although we arrived after Alan was waiting for us and provided tea and biscuits, very welcome after a long flight. We hope to return and would recommend it to a couple or solo traveller. Liam and Mary

Superb location for beach and handy for public transport. Flat was very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Ideal Holiday home for two in Antibes

We had a wonderful time in this cosy, compact, comfortable and well equipped apartment for two. Some antique furniture and a splendid French bedstead made us feel we were deep in the culture. South facing balcony with full sun in the afternoons with some excellent flowers which we hoped we helped come out to their best. See attached photograph showing just one of the blooms.

The flat is at the back of the apartment block and is quiet. It is in an older building with the traditional pretty pale green shutters. It is located very close to the centre of Antibes, the old town, the Provencal market and the sea. There are good and very reasonable restaurants nearby. There is a comprehensive file of information on the locality including restaurant recommendations. We had the time to taste food in them all and can attest to their excellence of that on offer.

The flat is only three quarters of an hour on the bus from Nice airport and a short walk through a central shopping area. It is also an easy to walk to the Cap d'Antibes and where there is so much to explore. La Plage de la Garoupe is lovely and has a restaurant on the beach in which we relaxed – good cheval burger and chips which we can highly recommend.

We enjoyed some wonderful bus journeys to Nice, Cannes, Vence, Biot old town and Eden Roc. They are all also easily enjoyed in a day trip. The most wonderful Church by Matisse is well worth a visit with lunch in the old town. Biot is smaller but has the most interesting lunch venues. Nice has an excellent market, but the scale and quality of Antibes itself means you don’t need to go far for many different and fantastic French experiences.

It was also reassuring to have an English speaking agent, Alan who is very helpful and responsive if anything is needed. The book loving owners had arranged a library of intriguing holiday reads.. They also had an excellent collection of CDs and DVDs if we ran out of things to do, but local music, plays and dance left little time to see much of them. But we know what is there for our next trip.

A most relaxing holiday made easy by Steve Tiltson’s great communications of the apartment and its opportunities. We have been going to Antibes regularly since one of us, in 1966, saw England beat Germany in the final of the world cup on a beech camping holiday near there. This holiday was much more civilised and comfortable. We now feel we have a home away from home.

Well worth a visit.

A perfect stay for two

Our stay at Steve & Frances’ apartment was just about perfect for us, we were there for a month. We were met by Alan, who looks after things, he couldn’t have been more helpful. He said “if you need anything give me a call, I want you to enjoy your stay” He was as good as his word and when we called about failed wi-fi (a minor matter) came round and fixed it within 20 mins.

The apartment is perfect for two people as far as we were concerned, set at an easy 2 minute stroll between the sea and the old town, immaculately clean, fully equipped with plenty of storage. It is quiet and surprisingly private, the balcony overlooks a block of flats but is sheltered by trees, we had breakfast sitting in the sun every morning. As an added bonus there is a really good small restaurant at the sea end of the Blvd “Bistro 44” great food and particularly good value at lunch time.

For rentals of over two weeks ask about our reduced rates.
Our weekly rates include laundry and normal cleaning on departure. For shorter periods, a laundry/cleaning charge of £50 will be added.
Our rates assume an occupancy of one or two people or two people with a baby using a cot. If use of the sofa bed in the lounge is required a further small charge will be applicable. Please enquire.

A non-returnable deposit of 30% is required at time of booking. The balance is payable 4 weeks prior to the start of the rental. A bond of £200 or 240 euros is payable at the start of all rentals and is returnable on departure less any deductions for damages and/or excessive cleaning requirement. Payment may be made to the owner by Sterling or French euro cheque, VISA, MasterCard or PayPal.
