Excellent Villa in a Superb Location

Jeroen who runs Algarvacations was a star always responding to emails in the run up to the holiday, organised our Car Rental for us which was great. We had the car delivered to the villa on the Sunday as we arrived late Saturday. Jeroen organised Elizabeth to pick us from the airport which all went smoothly. The villa was spacious with plenty of room for two teenage boys, an 8 year old and two adults. The kitchen had every utensil required for those BBQ's outside by the pool and even plastic containers to take our picnics to the beach. The utility room proved useful for flip flops, shoes and bags. Plus it had a washing machine and freezer with adequate space. Talking of washing there are not many villas we have been to that have a proper washing line - this one did and clothes dried within 30 mins. The pool is beautiful, spacious and clean and lots of great times were had by us all on hot days when we needed to cool down or a bit of midnight fun. Lights came on the pool at 9.45 pm and went off at 12.45am which was plenty of time. The pool was cleaned at least three times whilst we were there. Bedrooms were of a good size and there was plenty of cupboard space with lots of hangers. Upstairs had a self contained area with a sink and fridge which the boys were delighted with as they could keep their beers cold and have a drink on either of the 2 balconies. The views of the valley were lovely and the road that the villa was on was very quiet. Carvoeiro town was a 10 minute walk there and 15 minutes back as there was a steep hill for part of the way. The town is lovely very hustle and bustle with lots of character and hundreds of restaurants. Our two teenagers had a meal with us in the evening and then went round town having a few beers on their own/with new friends they had met. Entertainment in the square every night; orchestra, singer, DJ etc. Something for everyone. Places to visit; Carvoeiro beach is the most convenient, Benagil, Carvalho which were gorgeous & Portimao is fabulous for water sports and restaurants on the board walk. Slide and splash but get there for 9.30. We would recommend this villa to anyone and would definitely come back. There are too many restaurants to mention but we ate lots of fresh fish that were caught daily. 3 big supermarkets only a 5 minute drive away.

Our second visit to this Lovely Villa

After visiting last year, we decided to come away again, this time with the addition of our other son and his girlfriend. As before, we arrived at the villa and used the access code that we where provided a few days prior to our arrival to access the key to enter the property.

The property was just as we remembered, extremely spacious with large kitchen/dining room, living room/dining room, downstairs double bedroom with an ensuite and doors leading to the pool, a downstairs w/c and a utility room with a cupboard full of games, lilos for the pool plus more. The stairs lead to a further double bedroom, a twin room, a small kitchenette, bathroom and a door leading on to a patio area with stairs that lead directly to the large garden and pool, more than enough space for 5 of us to enjoy.

The villa is on the outskirts of the town with large panoramic views of the valley. It was quiet throughout the day and on an evening the crickets were chirping which was relaxing to hear and the skies were clear enough to see the light from the lighthouse.

The pool was heated (must have been requested by the previous guests as we chose not to pay for this during our time there), at times it was a tad to warm, with a cool dip proffered during the high temperatures we had. The pool cleaner came twice during the week and they were very pleasant and friendly.

We had a visit from property maintenance as the previous guests reported a fault which was amazing how quickly they came to review and take pictures.

We do not recall seeing the cleaners but we ensured the property was kept tidy.

The only suggestions I would make considering this is our second time here, is to modernise the property slightly as cracks were seen throughout the villa (which I assume is down to the heat as it was very very warm) and also to install small air conditioning units in the bedrooms as during the evenings it was too warm even using the fans.

I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family though as it's in close distance to the town (would definitely recommend The Wolfe Bar and Grill as well as Onze in the town and Brady's Irish Bar for great entertainment). There are a number of roads that lead to the villa, one of which is a steep incline but the other roads are not. The villa is also in close proximity to the mini market which is cheap in price too.

Nice house in very good location

The house is situated on a very quiet road on the outskirts of Carvoiero. It has a large pool (which we paid to be heated and was just the right temperature) and good sunloungers, with plenty of grassed areas and a large BBQ. The house is not overlooked and there is a nice view across the valley. Inside the rooms are good size very clean and well furnished, with nice TV (only news chanels in English) and very good wifi. House is alarmed and has a safe. Kitchen was well equiped apart from not having an oven just a multifunction microwave which had a small capavcity. There were lots of cups, plates ,glasses, cutlery etc. but no plastic pool side crockery. The bedrooms were comfortable and each equiped with a fan, which was alright in May but I suspect aircon would be better in high summer.

It was a short walk to the local mini-market which was well equiped and a five minute drive to two large supermarkets. A ten minute walk downhill took you into the village which was very nice not too busy and with lots of restaurant choices. We found the return walk quite easy but there is a short steep hill at first, with taxis waiting at the bottom if needed.

This is a nice comfortable house for a family holiday well positioned for all the central Algarve attractions, in a very peaceful and relaxing location.

Lovely villa in need of modernisation and air conditioning

Great location with a fantastic pool and BBQ. For the cost the villa needs to upgrade kitchen ware, small electrical goods, pool umbrellas, BBQ equipment, cleaning equipment. Overall the villa needs TLC.

Fantastic Vivenda Vista em Vale

We have just spent a wonderful 18 days at Vivenda Vista em Vale and were very impressed with this spacious villa. Jeroen made the booking process incredibly easy and on arrival at Faro we rang the number provided and were given the code for the key box and alarm meaning we didn’t have to stop and collect a key from elsewhere. On arrival at the villa we were more than happy with what we found. The photos of the interior do not do it justice! The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The living room is light and airy and we were surprised to see a large leather sofa which comfortably sat the four of us if we wanted to watch a movie. There is a separate utility room with a freezer and washing machine and also a separate downstairs toilet. There is a large rotary dryer in the garden which was also a relief as some villas provide a washing machine but nowhere substantial to hang the washing!

The master bedroom is located on the ground floor and has a large king size bed and spacious ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has patio doors to the pool area. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms - one double and one with twin beds and a balcony. Also upstairs there is a further bathroom and large veranda for enjoying the beautiful views. All the windows have shutters so you can leave the windows open during the night whilst having the security of the shutters. There is no air conditioning in the villa but this wasn’t a problem as there are plenty of good quality fans and being high up it gets a lovely breeze.

The villa is located on a huge corner plot and has fabulous uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The area has a very safe, upmarket feel and is very peaceful. It is an easy ten minute walk into town via Rua de Cerro which brings you directly onto Restaurant Hill where we found some excellent restaurants. Also on Rua de Cerro is a small, well stocked supermarket which we found was actually cheaper than the ones in town. It is an easy walk on a morning the get fresh bread and pastries.

The pool area is fabulous with plenty of sunbeds and the pool guy came every couple of days to clean the pool. The bedding and towels were changed once a week by the very friendly maids who also gave the bathrooms a clean. Plenty of spare towels were also left for inbetween their visits.

We really had a fantastic holiday at this villa and would recommend it 100%.

Peaceful location in Carvoeiro

We have stayed in Carvoeiro 10 times now and thought we knew it well but this is villa is probably our favourite location. It is as ten minute walk from the centre of Carvoeiro and is admittedly a bit of a climb but it is well worth it for the peaceful location, views of the valley and welcome breeze. We only hired a car for three days as we were able to walk to the beaches in Carvoeiro and Centianes and most evenings we wandered down to enjoy the wide range of bars and restaurants. Our particular favourites were Elle and Ella, Imprevisto, Cafe Fino and Boneca at Algar Seco. From the bus stop five minutes away from the villa we were able to travel to Lagos and Lisbon relatively cheaply. We enjoyed several days just making use of the pool and garden both of which were clean and well maintained. THere are plenty of loungers and the eating area adjacent to the barbecue was spacious and comfortable. The villa is very clean and in good condition. As well as the cleaners thoroughly cleaning the villa for our arrival they also visited several times during our stay to clean the bathrooms and change the linen. We were pleased with the amount of space in the villa and appreciated the separate downstairs toilet and utility room and even a mini kitchen upstairs with its own fridge. the main kitchen was well equipped with good supply of crockery and utensils. From the initial enquiry onwards we received excellent service from Jeroen and he dealt quickly and efficiently with our queries including arranging a smooth airport transfer for us and a short term car hire for us mid way through the holiday with the car being delivered to and collected from the villa. We would recommend this villa as an excellent location for a family or group of adults who enjoy peaceful surroundings as well as being only 10 minutes walk away from the beach, bars and restaurants and well placed for visiting towns such as Lagos, Silves and Portimao.
