On the ground floor there’s a large living room with a cosy fireplace and a dining area. This area opens onto the terrace, the pool and the garden. The main modern kitchen, very spacious and well equipped, has a separate breakfast area.
The master bedroom with en-suite with shower and bath can be used as a separate apartment and has second smaller kitchen. Still on the ground floor there are also two twin bedrooms and a large bathroom and a lavatory.
On the first floor there is a large mezzanine and attic which has been converted into a large studio with a bedroom, living area, bathroom and a storage room.
Near the Coast: Comporta beach, 10 minutes by car, is situated within the wonderful Sado Estuary Nature Reserve with the longest sandy beach in the whole of Europe. It is deservedly famous and has ideal conditions for surfing and kite surfing alike.This entire region maintains astonishing natural beauty, from pine forests to sand dunes to the refreshing ocean.
The beach offers good facilities, wonderful restaurants and good parking places.
The famous Tróia Resort, with its 4 and 5-Star hotels, Congress Centre, 18-hole- Golf course, yachting marina and many other leisure facilities, is just a 30kms kilometres away.
Setúbal is known for its delicious fresh fish.
Near historic villages: The town of Alcácer do Sal, 70km South East of Lisbon, has a castle recently restored from Moorish ruins on a promontory dominating the peaceful valley of the River Sado. In Roman times the small town was an important centre for harvesting salt and there is record of a fort existing there as early as the 6th century BC. The area is also well known for its vast variety of birds and its many stork nests.
To the South is the town of Sines, known for its important port and it’s beautifully well preserved castle overlooking the narrow streets of the old centre. Santiago do Cacém, a lovely town full of character, also well worth a visit.
