Located on the western shore of beautiful Seneca Lake about eight miles south of Geneva just off Route 14, Easy Livin’ Cottage at Oak Grove Beach is a perfect place to relax and enjoy family fun. This two-bedroom lakeside cottage offers something to guests of all ages, and its location in the heart of the Finger Lakes makes Easy Livin’ Cottage an ideal destination for a family or two adult couples.
Easy Livin’ Cottage is very comfortable and decorated to reflect the Finger Lakes. It features a fully equipped “L” shaped kitchen that includes an electric stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, glassware, and pots and pans. A spacious living-dining room with a working fireplace and 46” LCD Smart TV with cable provides warmth and entertainment on chilly evenings. The cottage also has WiFi internet. Baseboard heat plus a heater in the bathroom are also available. We have a wall air conditioner unit that will keep the cottage cooler on the hot summer days. There is one bathroom with a shower; the water supply is from the city. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom includes a bunk bed with a full mattress on the lower bed and a single on the upper and will sleep three. There is also a queen pullout sofa in the living room. (We DO NOT provide bed linens or towels.) French doors provide open access from the living area to the spacious screened-in porch overlooking the lake and features a picnic table and ample seating. This is a great place to enjoy the exquisite sunrises, the serene moon rises, or to relax, read a book or just daydream and enjoy the lake. The cottage is all on one floor with two steps at the driveway side entrance.
The large rolling lawn borders 135 feet of level natural lake frontage and provides wonderful opportunities for summer fun. You might cook on the charcoal grill, gather everyone around the outside picnic table for a summer barbecue, play a board game or game of cards, but be sure to take time to relax in the comfort of the Adirondack chairs on the lawn as you watch the wildlife and waves on the lake.
Eight stairs bring you to a level beach. The lakefront is all natural and the water depth is gradual, about three feet at the end of the dock and “dotted” with a few large rocks, making this a perfect spot to swim, wade and play in the water. The dock is great for relaxing and sunbathing. In the evening the fire pit is available for a campfire, toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. You can watch the moon rise across the lake, enjoy the serenity of the moonlight dancing on the lake, find the patterns in the stars, or simply listen to the water lapping on the shore.
Railroad Tracks run 100 feet behind the house with a short train about twice a day, as is the same with most of the cottages in this area.
Pillows, comforters and blankets are supplied. Bed linens, bath, beach and kitchen towels are not included.
