Lovely apartment, great location

The apartment is fantastic - very well furnished and stocked with lots of little extras you don't normally get in self-catered accommodation, and plenty of plates, mugs etc, that made it really easy to cater for the 6 of us. There is a bath with shower over and a shower room, but we were a little surprised there was only one toilet, I don't know why but for some reason we were expecting one in the bathroom and a separate one. I guess we didn't read the description carefully enough. There was loads of hot water, and the heating was excellent.

There is a great selection of dvds unfortunately there is no TV aerial but we could have streamed from our tablet (the Wifi is free and very good) if we'd remembered the HDMI cable!

The apartment block itself is quiet, in a quiet area. Its a short walk down to the bus stop, and the top of a shortcut to the red piste down to La Roche lift. You have to take care though, the road when we were there was extremely icy due to very cold temperatures and rain! There was parking for two cars close by.

The shortcut to the piste is narrow, so involved snowploughing and walking uphill at the end (I never "let go" soon enough) - so if you are lazy/timid the ski bus is ideal - you can get to La Plagne centre and then change if you want to go to BellePlagne and its about the same time as it takes intermediate skiers to ski there so you can meet up.

You can ski back at night to the top of the road, apparently its a "red red" so I didn't risk it with tired legs, but the rest of our party used this rather than the bus to get home.

Checking in/out is really easy too - we arrived late at night and due to the key pickup it was no problem. The boot room for storing skis etc is a bonus.

The La Plagne ski area is great for intermediates and it seemed to be mainly skiers - the weather wasn't great though so the fun parks were closed so maybe there would normally be more snowboarders. We were there at half-term and apart from queues at the main "access" lifts it was relatively quiet (again might have been the zero visibility putting people off).

We would definitely book again, the owner is extremely friendly and responsive to emails and we felt very welcome. We had a taste of what it would be like in nice weather on our last day, and were gutted to be coming home.

Very nice!

We spent a really nice week there as a group of 6 people.

The location was easy to find (plenty of parking spots), the arrival "logistics" went great.

The apartment is spacious, calm, comfy, and well-situated. The 2 bathrooms were much appreciated after long ski days! Kitchen is very well-equipped and bedrooms are cosy.

The access to the slopes is easy on skis.

In a nutshell, a great place for great holidays!

Very good!

We had a nice holiday week as a group of 8 people in Cote Crete D.

Great location on the mid-way to Plagne Center easy to find. Convenient parking with several possible spots to chose from.

Apartment was in a very good condition, cosy rooms with enough space to comfortably sleep even at full capacity of 8 persons. Kitchen is clean and has all needed things in practically new condition.

Chalet building is well sound-proof, not much noise was heard between rooms and other apartments.

Easy to reach La Roche slope and lift on skis.

Ski holiday New Year 2012

This apartment was perfect for our family group of parents, one teenager and four young adults.

The description was accurate, the apartment clean and well equipped, and the views were amazing, plus it is a quiet village.

You do need a car, especially for skiers who would not have the confidence to ski along a narrow path through trees to reach the nearest piste.

We understood a ski bus went past the end of the road but we never saw it and I think it only went hourly. A separate ski bus circulates continually round the separate parts of La Plagne but not past the apartment.

The owner provided prompt and reliable customer service before departure and there was good access to the contact in resort.

We could only access wi-fi in certain parts of the house but went to La Mine pub occasionally for their free wi-fi and great atmosphere.

We had all we needed for cooking evening meals, and had one meal out at Le Petit Chaperon Rouge which was really good.

We would recommend this apartment to friends as we had a really successful holiday, helped by good snow and five days of warm sun!

To clarify the bus situation, this is a new service which passes the apartment ten past every hour. It goes through Plagne 1800 village, Plagne Centre and Aime 2000. It returns from Plagne Centre 40 minutes past each hour and runs until 12.30 a.m. We love the apartment and are glad you did too. Thank you again.
