The property was ideal for us in every respect. Perfect location, charming accommodation well restored and maintained. If Linda and Graham allow....we hope to stay again.

Wonderful house with stunning views!

This was our third stay in 'our' Ramsgate house, and we already look forward to going back. Spread over five floors with stunning views - especially the balcony off the sitting room. Brilliant new large shower is a recent addition. We were lucky enough to be there for the Dunkirk 'Little Boats' leaving Ramsgate, with lots going on round the harbour, which is a stone's throw away. We love this house and we can't wait to go back.

Comfortable House, excellent view

We found a comfortable house, warm and cosy, with an excellent view over the sea. The house provides a new main bathroom, with a new shower and a very big bathtub. When we entered, everything was in good order, ready and clean. Although a severe storm blew for three days the house remained warm. The kitchen is spaceful with an up to date dishwasher and a professional oven. We enjoyed a nice holiday and will come back soon.

As return visitors we were really excited to stay at this property once again. However, upon our arrival at the property we were greeted with a scrawled message on a used envelope located stating that throughout our stay (3 weeks, booked 7 months in advance) tradesmen would be painting the outside of the building and window cleaners would also be visiting the property. While a little bit disappointed in the timeliness and form of communication (should we have been warned earlier that the property was undergoing renovations we would have sought accommodation elsewhere) my husband and I decided to not let it ruin our holiday and to proceed as normal. Initially we were glad to see that efforts had been made to seal the upstairs bedroom windows - an improvement on our last stay. However our expectations soon ended when we saw that a window on the top floor of the property could not close at all leaving a 3-4cm gap between it and the sill. The window itself lead onto the painters scaffolding allowing anyone to climb it and access the property. In hindsight we should have left the property then. We persevered only to find that the main bathroom had deteriorated somewhat, and that the shower drained at a snail's pace, tiles and grout fell away with every other use and to top it off, the owner had left a bucket full of dirty water in the corner of the room. Despite evidence of some cleaning having been attempted, the toilet also needed cleaning before use. Perhaps the worst incident occurred halfway through our stay when, taking a shower one morning (my husband and children were out at the time), a tradesmen entered the property without consent and continued to wander around until confronted. It was a completely horrific experience, one in which the owner seemed quick to dismiss. She claimed that he was an old friend, harmless and would never hurt ourselves or our property. Defiant until the end, I don't think that the owner understood that we had paid for a holiday rental and not to live on someone's construction site. Understandably, we will never return. Sadly we now also understand why the guest book laid empty for almost 18 months before our stay. Beware.

Great place to stay, great location

I had a wonderful time in this beautiful place and the location was great...easy walk to the local pubs and town. I would stay here again. Thanks Linda for your help and all the good Information and easy transactions.

Great location for a beautiful house.

I wanted a sandy beach holiday and my husband wasn't too sure about choosing Ramsgate, but there was no need to worry. We had 6 glorious days on the great beach just opposite the house - the Lift was a fantastic help - (no dogs allowed, lifeguard patrolled, and cleaned of litter every day).

But, the true star of our week was the house. As long as you don't mind stairs, 28, Wellington Crescent has everything you'd want for a relaxing, versatile holiday. We loved sitting on the terrace every evening and watching the array of boats sail back into the harbour and were treated to a firework display on our last night.

The Loop bus service was very convenient for Broadstairs and Margate and the Royal Harbour restaurants within walking distance - we went to the Oak Tavern twice. Ramsgate town centre was close - we cut through Albion Place gardens - pedestianised, had market days, lots of charity shops, had the essential Caffe Nero for my husband!

Thank you, Linda, for the obvious care you take to maintain the house and all its splendour - we had a a truly wonderful stay and I found myself missing the house for days after.
