A perfect place to stay.

My husband and I stayed in this villa apartment rental for the month of March. The accommodations were excellent. Having a full kitchen, a washing machine, great heating (not that we needed it often), wifi and two bathrooms were just a few of our surroundings we thoroughly enjoyed. After a day of exploring the Cote d'Azur it just felt like coming home. The location was also ideal. The apartment is on a hill and whether you walk down the hill or just around the corner you have access to one of the best bus services in Europe. The Gare de Nice Ville (train station) and the Nice tram are only a 25 minute walk or the bus will take you there. There are three grocery stores within walking distance as well as pharmacies, dry cleaners, banks and restaurants. The owners were very welcoming and helpful in getting us started on our visit to Nice. Thank you Dominique for all your help.

dominique & andrew are perfect hosts, lovely villa

We were looking for a modern apartment in Nice that would give us excellent access to all of Nice, the beach, the old town etc. and at the same time give us contemporary accommodation and offer us piece of mind as we were travelling with our 6 year old son. Being a basement apartment and part of a beautiful private house surrounded by a courtyard garden we couldn't have found anywhere better. Dominique and Andrew are the owners and during 2014 have spent a huge amount of money on the fantastic renovation of the whole building, where they will soon be making available two more stunning apartments. On booking Dominique and Andrew where extremely helpful and answered all of the questions we had very quickly and they made us feel very welcome as if they were inviting us to stay with them in there home. We stayed at 'Villa Migueltio' for two wonderful weeks, the weather was fantastic and Nice is a such a great place. The villa is close to the Russian Cathedral and close to a main bus route allowing you to use the inexpensive public transport network to wherever you want to go. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, a big box of lego for our son (allegedly), a big tin of biscuits and a 10 voyage bus ticket to get us started on the transport system. Once we became 'bus experts' :-) we bought 7 day passes and found these brilliant to get around. A day trip to Monte-Carlo was really straight forward, taking the bus to the train station across town and the return train tickets were very cheap for four of us. (My 19 year old daughter joined us halfway through the holiday). Our apartment was cleaned top to bottom half way through our stay and all the beds had lovely fresh linen. Over two weeks stay we varied our evening meals eating out on the old town, some of the restaurants' near the square and prepared lovely salads with produce from the numerous supermarkets. Nice itself is a great city as is the whole of the south coast. We were a bit caught out by the mosquitos to start, but soon invested in some spray from one of the many pharmacies. The beach is a pebble beach, so once you quickly realise that you look like a numpty walking in and out of the sea a trip to the many shops selling the neoprene shoes is a must. You can walk to the beach from the apartment but after two days of this and realising the buses are so frequent we took the #7 & #23 to and fro. The buses stop around 9pm and are replaced by night buses, the N3 from Galleries Lafayette gets you back.

Beautiful Garden Apartment

We stayed for a month and found the apartment to be wonderfully equipped, we had everything needed to make our vacation a pleasant experience! Dominique was a great help with activities, ideas and directions. The apartment is close to bus stops, as well as the train station making it convenient to get just about anywhere in Nice and beyond. We would definitely highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Lovely apartment

A really nice apartment with everything we needed. Dominique looked after us very well indeed, we have a great time there.

The bus, shops, bars and restaurants are but a five minute walk down the slight hill. The buses are great, you can get anywhere in Nice for 1 Euro, including hoping on the tram as part of the same journey. We loved going to the old town for an evening meal, a great buzz, a short bus & tram ride away. (No. 4 bus to Thiers / Médecin and a few steps onto really modern tram to one of two stops in the old part of town)

The apartment, part of a beautiful large villa, was clean and well appointed and is in a lovely quiet, affluent area. The shortest route back up from the shops and bus stop does involve 3 flight of steps, so not ideal for the elderly/infirm/really unfit, so my Mother-in-law huffed and puffed rather, but fine for the rest of us!

The WiFi was a god send for keeping in touch with our elder daughter back home via Skype and keeping our 17 year old daughter from getting bored with us old 'uns.

Highly recommended!

Wonderful apartement

The apartement was really wonderul furnished in a calm area and the garden was relaxing and quiet. Everything you needed was available and Dominique supplied us with extra towels and everything we required and was a helpful host.

I would recommend the apartement for families with children as well as for elderly people.

Very good choice.

Owners are very good people. We felt like visiting friends. Garden in courtyard is ideal for walking children. District is quiet and decent. Bus stop, shops and caffe are not far from property. Apartments are clean and tidy . All of the home appliances are in great condition. Thank you Dominique and Andrew.
