Truly Luxurious

This residence truly lives up to the description. It is luxurious in every sense of the word. The location couldn't be better in that it is in a gated and quiet community yet close to all amenities. There is a market within a 3 minute walk, and very fine top end restaurants just a bit further on.

The views from the comfortable living room and the well appointed terrace are stunning. The sunrises and sunsets are remarkable, and there is a small, almost private beach, within a few minutes walk. The house is on several levels which amplify its spaciousness. Two families or groups could easily rent this property together without ever losing a sense of privacy. The bedroom on the top floor has an attached small, intimate, and romantic enclosed terrace overlooking the sea. The house is well equipped and beautifully maintained.

The owner is sensitive to his renters needs and goes out of his way to ensure a memorable stay. There is a French but bi-lingual manager who is available and helpful at all times. This is the second time we have rented this property and have rarely found lodging anywhere in our world travels which compares with this marvelous dwelling. It is in the perfect location, slightly remote yet near all amenities, has stunning views, and all the comforts of being at home. Truly a home away.

Excellent holiday location

We (a family of five persons (3 children in the age of 17 - 21) and a labrador dog) enjoyed our holidays in this house very much. The house (a row house within a residential area) is located directly at the sea (there are two beaches in short walking distance) with a wonderful view! On our first day we saw a group of whales passing!! Dogs are not allowed on the beach, but in the mornings, before a lot of people came to the beach, swimming with the dog was no problem.

Outside of the residence is a Lidl supermarket, also in very short walking distance. Port Vendres (Boulangerie and other shops and restaurants) can be reached in 10 minutes, Collioure in 20 minutes.

The house is very well equipped (especially the kitchen), we didn´t miss anything. There is a big fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer, all machines were working well. In the first two days the weather was fine and we thought a parasol would be nice to have, but when the wind (Tramontane) started we knew why there is none.

There are three toilets and three showers in the house, everything was clean and working without problems. Only the drains sometimes had a little bit of a bad smell.

The owner was very friendly and provided all information needed, also the local contact person was reliable, all in all I can highly recommend this house.

Great place in one of the finest locations

We are two Norwegian families with kids aged between 1 and 7 who enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks in this location. The pictures of the view and the beach speak for themselves; I doubt you can find anything that rivals this location in terms of beauty. The surrounding area is in my opinion one of the finest in France.

The host and his local representative were most helpful and dealt with both practical and formal matters in the best possible way. The bedrooms are big and the living room and kitchen area are more spacious than what we expected based on the pictures.

In short, we are grateful for having had the opportunity to stay at this place and warmly recommends it to anyone.

The Very Finest

Over the years we have stayed at many rentals in France, Greece, Morocco, Italy,

Spain, and England. This residence was by far the very finest we have ever had the luck to rent. The location couldn't be better. From here it is convenient to explore that entire breath taking coast; even day trips into Spain are easy. At the core of this dwelling is a well furnished private terrace directly above the sea from which to view , magnificent sunrises and sunsets. It feels remote yet it is close to Collioure, shops and restaurants, and a most scenic walk down to a quiet, uncrowded beach where the water is crystalline and usually still. The house itself is most inviting offering every amenity you can imagine. It is in a quiet location, no traffic, no light pollution so starry nights crown every day. There are several levels providing privacy for all members of your group. Every room is comfortable. The well stocked ktchen, the convenient dinning area, and the sumptuous living room all look out on the well equipped terrace beyond and below which is the sparkling sea, and each of these rooms is impeccably furnished. If you want peace and quiet in a haven of beauty, this is for you. You will feel so pampered by the tranquility, the aesthetically pleasing furnishings, and the view that you will return home rested and restored. The owner could not have been more accommodating. He is a person who is sensitive to the needs and desires of others and will go out of his way to insure that you have a memorable vacation. His generosity of spirit is remarkable; a truly evolved human being. For us, it will always remain an unforgetable week. There is no doubt that we will come back again and again. Do not waste your time looking for anything better; it just won't happen because this is, in every way, The Very Finest.

A perfect stay for a big family who likes sea view

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely house with a marvelous view of the sea and the sunrice. It was perfect for a big family. We where 7 persons in the age 19- 60. Close to the sea, close to the store, close to Port Vendre and not far to Collioure. We had all we need. We all really enyoed the two weeks stay and could even stay longer. We all loved it and hope we can return sometime.

Fabulous, uninterrupted views of the sea and coast

We have just come back from a fabulous family holiday. The house was perfectly suited to our needs for a variety of reasons: over four floors, there was plenty of space for us as three couples; the living area was very well designed and appointed, and with the uninterrupted views over the coastline we indulged in many evenings of barbecues and amazing sunset watching on the terrace! As we didn't have a car, the Lidl at a stone's throw was brilliant for the big trolley shops, leaving Port Vendres within easy walking distance for other items. The 1 euro bus stop is very near so it is easy to travel greater distances for very little. We found there was plenty on our doorstep for one week and simply enjoyed being able to walk to either of the little coves on each side of the property to swim and snorkel, venturing to Collioure and Port Vendres to explore. We felt very much "home from home" and appreciated everything that was at our disposal whilst on holiday. We all have very happy memories of an excellent holiday - and we all said that we would love to return!
