Les Cimes é um recém-construído, apartamento de 80 metros quadrados, decorado com uma especificação muito elevada e capacidade para 6 pessoas. Há 3 quartos e um sofá-cama na sala de estar. Existe uma cozinha muito bem equipada com máquina de lavar roupa, máquina de lavar louça, forno e fogão e uma grande mesa de jantar extensível para 8 lugares. Há uma casa de banho totalmente equipada, casa de banho separada e ainda chuveiro e banheiro. O grande salão tem capacidade para 8, uma lareira, TV de tela plana, DVD, CD e docking station para Ipod com uma variedade de DVD para todos os gostos. Há varandas em redor dos apartamentos e dois grandes terraços com mesa exterior, cadeiras e equipamentos para churrasco. Há uma sala separada para botas e esquis e um local de esqui separado.
This was a great place to experience our first ski vacation in the Alps. The apartment was clean, modern and roomy for our family of four. The apartment was on the edge of Les Contamines village and we were able to walk to all of the wonderful shops. It was also on the bus line to Les Contamine Ski Resort. The only downside to the apartment was that the shower enclosure was small and the shower at the tub did not have an enclosure. This is something that, being used to larger showers, we needed to get used to which we did.
This was our 4th skiing holiday in Les Contamines in the past 6 years and Les Cimes is certainly the best apartment we have stayed in there (and the competition was stiff!). Sarah was on hand for our arrival and the apartment was clean and ready for us to move in. Les Cimes is warm, comfortable and spacious - it certainly lived up to our expectations. Shops, restaurants, pizza take away and Ty Breiz pub for that essential 'apres ski' drink are all close at hand and the village centre for more of the same is only a few minutes walk away. The free ski bus stops 25-50 meters away and for walkers, there is direct access to a lovely river side walk. A nursery slope is directly opposite for novice skiers and floodlit skiing is also available there on 1 or 2 nights a week. But if all of that makes you worry that the apartment might be noisy, don't. It is quiet and peaceful at all times. One word of caution for people will less mobility, getting from the chalet entrance to your front door requires you to negotiate 2 flights of stairs on 2 floors. All in all, this apartment is highly recommended.
The location is ideal, within the village with restaurants and shops within a few minutes walking distance. The apartment could be approached from the rear car park in the summer. It was modern,spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all mod. cons. There are attractive curtains in all the rooms, which are not shown in the photos. These give the apartment a cosy feel. We enjoyed barbaques on the sunny terrace with wonderful mountain views.
The arrangements were simple and straightforward and we experienced no problems at all.
It proved an excellent base for a summer break with leisure parks, walks and swimming locally, and a variety of places within an easy drive.
We especially enjoyed 'O' restaurant, but there are several good ones to choose from in the village. The garage was most helpful when we had car trouble. We will recommend this property unreservedly to our friends.
A lovely appartment right in the middle of a beatiful village. Sarah, the person with whom I had contact, was efficient and very helpful and friendly. I booked this with 24hours notice and couldn't be happier! The appartment had all the essentials at hand and was very smart!
4 of us stayed here - including 2 children (5 and 7) and it couldnt have been better. Its not obvious from photos that the chalet is on a steep slope and the apartment is a couple of floors down, so still has a balcony etc but is below the level of the road so shielded from noise (not that it was that noisy anyway). Short walk to the shops and there is a decent nursery slope directly opposite.
Clean, modern but still cosy it was a good place to be for a weeks skiing. The main lifts are slightly too far to walk, so ski bus or a car would be required, but its close to the shops and restaurants. (If you are driving from Geneva, there is a big Carrefour supermarket at Sallanches to stock up, otherwise there is a reasonable general store 5 mins walk from the chalet)
Resort itself is very picturesque, friendly and very "French" - in a way that a lot of the bigger resorts arent.
Both the resort and this chalet come highly recommended. Would definately return.
Les Contamines Montjoie é uma aldeia tradicional e muito bonita da Sabóia, que é uma popular estância de esqui cheio de charme. É uma pequena vila animada, movimentada no inverno com muitas lojas, bares e restaurantes e uma atmosfera de esqui apres muito descontraído. A vila tem dois supermercados, 13 restaurantes, correios, inúmeros bares, dois bancos, um ponto de dinheiro e um posto de turismo oferecendo tudo o que se pode exigir.
Para os esquiadores não há uma seleção de passeios maravilhosos e expedições com raquetes de neve (raquettes) e trenós puxados por cães e patinação no gelo também estão disponíveis na época. Situado a apenas 70 minutos de Genebra e cerca de 7. 5 horas de carro de Calais é fácil chegar por via aérea ou rodoviária. Há também boas ligações de comboio TGV na estação de esqui diretos de Paris a St Gervais-les-Bains, cerca de 15 minutos de táxi do chalé. Megeve é de 15 kms de distância e Chamonix é de 25 kms de distância.
