The stay that wasn’t.
Valet and Security/evening check in staff were rude. One of our family members had recently had surgery and we were shocked at the stairs everywhere that weren’t shown in the listing. There is no way to get into this condo without climbing stairs. The luggage carts cannot go from the entrance to the condo due to the stairs. You will be carrying your luggage most of the way- and it is a haul. The sleeping and bathing accommodations are down a flight of steep tile stairs, so unless you are able bodied, it will be tough to access them. The hotel and condo walls and ceilings are scuffed and discolored, strong smell of mold and some other dank smell (dirty pool? laundry facilities? not sure) in the hallway and into the apartment. The able bodied member of our party went downstairs to check out the rest of the property and found there to be orange cones around crumbled back steps and numerous signs indicating cameras were watching you.
We stayed for a while hoping the hostess would respond to our message- she did not. We called VRBO and they were no help, as they consider themselves a “marketplace” and do not seem to require anything at all of the hosts, so we were out of luck. Eventually, we left the place as we found it and went to look for other accommodations. We found nothing and had to wait til nearly lunch time the next day to rest after driving all day the day before. The hostess said she would refund $500 of our funds, per VRBO, and we never received a dime. Be warned.
