Great house, nice people, decent neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay in Cyprus, and especially in this decent house. The property is very clean, orderly and well equipped. The neighborhood is quite and very clean, too. Even though the location is quite remote, which was exactly what we were looking for, the sea and many more activities are just a heartbeat away from the house.

A great thank you goes to Deborah as well as Vic and Hazel, who gave us a warm welcome and excellent advice during our stay.

Beautiful little getaway!

The villa was a lovely for our home from home holiday. Situated 20 minutes from the airport, we were met by the owners when we arrived even though it was after midnight!

They provided a cot, highchair and toys for my 8 month old, which saved us bringing everything. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our 7 day getaway.

The location is quiet and remote which was perfect for us as I hadn't realized how commercialized Paphos is. As previous people have said a car is essential. It was too early in the year to use the pool but the gardens were beautiful to sit and relax in.

Would reccommend for a family holiday!

What a gem, a real home from home

We have just returned from a lovely holiday, our first to Cyprus. We arrived on a very late flight and to be met by Vic with the keys and a quick run down of the house was indicative of the care and attention to detail given to The Lodge and to those staying there. The house is around a 30 minute easy drive from Paphos airport.

The Lodge is very well equipped and extremely comfortable, a home from home. Everything has been considered to ensure your stay is as simple and stressfree as possible. The property is private with lovely views, enhanced by the beautiful garden and pool. We were travelling as a couple but can see this is clearly a great location for a family holiday. But for us as a couple it was a peaceful and relaxing place away from everything yet within a short walk from Tala village centre where we went for a drink and to eat on several occasions.

The kitchen has new, good quality appliances including a large fridge/freezer and we made the most of the kitchen and outside space. Outside the kitchen door there is a table and chairs where we ate breakfast on all but one morning and in the evenings we sat by the huge table on the veranda under the beautiful wisteria.

The Lodge is a short drive from Paphos - a car is essential to make the most of the location - there is a local shop in Tala with good supplies and there are supermarkets on the outskirts of Paphos which were an easy 10 - 15 minute drive away. We also discovered the Papantoniou bakeries - definitely worth a visit for their delicious cakes and desserts!

Vic and Hazel live along the road and are on hand if you have any questions, as is Melanie, but they don't intrude on your holiday at all.

It goes without saying that The Lodge is clean and well-maintained. Deborah was brilliant at responding to our enquiries during the booking process and making sure we had all the information needed before we arrived.

We loved Paphos and its mixture of old and new. You can step up a side street and find a cafe or restaurant with good, local food. We particulary loved Mother's Restaurant which is near the Paphos Mosaics - very welcoming with fabulous Cypriot food. The Paphos archeological site was so fantastic we went twice! We also recommend a visit to rural Fyti and the traditional silk weaving lady.

Everyone we met was warm and friendly. It has been a fabulous holiday and look forward to returning.

A beautiful and peaceful place, so clean!. very friendly people.well equipped.

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge very much, the house and garden and

second to none, lovely views and very private gardens, the caretakers are really diligent with their cleaning, very helpful and friendly. and the house itself is tasteful and cosy . comfortable beds and a super large bath, and a separate shower en suite, and a shower room and extra loo also. I can genuinely say - we loved our stay, and will definately visit again. there are lovely restaurants in Paphos and they have many supermarkets, inc Lidl. not far from the airport , but a car is a must . I am sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did, should you decide to rent this fantastic holiday home. Wendy and Steve Brown

Mooi rustig huis met alles erop en eraan

Een heerlijk vakantiehuis aan een doodlopende weg (dus heerlijk rustig) en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima uitvalsbasis voor talloze uitstapjes! Meerdere restaurants in de directe omgeving waar het goed eten is voor een betaalbare prijs (Casa Luna kunnen wij aanbevelen) en kiosken/supermarkten voor wat kleine boodschappen.

Warm aanbevolen: Artemis trail nabij Troodos square. 7 km wandelen op het dak van Cyprus (mont Olympus) in een mooi bos met prachtige uitzichtspunten.

Our stay at The Lodge was everything we hoped for and more. The lodge lived upto its promise.

The Lodge, Tala was excellent and was all we had hoped for and more. Melanie and Paul could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The accommodation in the villa lived up to and exceeded our expectations. The villa was spacious, airy and very comfortable even in the evenings when the humidity was at its highest.

We explored the village and had dinner in the square on a couple of occasions and found everyone friendly and welcoming. I would recommend that a car is an essential if you are staying at this property.

All prices are per week and include linen and towels. There is no maid service. 25% deposit required with your booking, balance payable 40 days prior to departure.
Beds will have been made up on arrival with clean bed linen and additional bed linen is provided if a guest would like to change their own at any time during their stay. Additional bed linen is charged at £10 p.p. Bath towels are provided for use inside The Lodge but are not allowed for outdoor or beach use. Separate beach towels are provided for beach and pool use. There is no daily maid service. We reserve the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning required above normal, should the property be left excessively dirty. Water at The Lodge is heated by solar panels, this usually provides more than sufficient hot water throughout the year. If a guest requires more hot water than is provided by solar panels they may use the electric water heater to top it up. In cooler weather a gas heater will be provided. An electric meter reading will be taken in the presence of the guest by the managers of The Lodge at the beginning of their stay. Please be aware that electricity is very expensive in Cyprus. The guest will have an allowance of 100 electricity units per week, any additional units will be charged at 17p each which can be paid locally or withdrawn from the security deposit, whichever method the guest prefers. The price of air-conditioning, above the allowance, is not included in the rental fee and will be charged at cost by the method previously mentioned. We believe this to be a fairer and more reasonable way of charging for air-conditioning use.
