* The owner of 331, "Bay Watch," greatly values your feedback and is constantly listening to guest needs and making corresponding updates and upgrades to this unit. In addition to the new ductwork and AC that was installed several years ago, in 2022, this owner has ripped out remaining wallpaper and re-painted walls as well as replaced the washer and dryer! Look forward to further upgrades for the 2023 rental season!

The L units at The Villas offer the best water views of the entire community, and “Bay Watch" is located in the heart of this complex. Sound-Front, pier front, and directly next to the community pool, clubhouse, picnic area, boat ramp, and kayak rental station, this rental unit's association offers a wealth of amenities. The master king and queen bedrooms provide panoramic water views, and the master bedroom features a balcony with a small sitting area providing open-water views and relaxation. The rest of the rental unit allows for plenty of space for the entire family to relax after a busy day at the beach. And as evening sets in, enjoy sitting on the back patio, gazing at an amazing sunset view.

When not spending time beside the ocean, stay in the Villas community and enjoy crabbing and fishing from the docks and pier, access the boat ramp if you've brought a boat with you, have the children enjoy the playground, spend a day at the sound-side pool, or take a walk across Jockey's Ridge from The Villa's private path to these dunes.

As for a rainy days on the island, The Villas are located in the heart of the island, close to the movie theater, Nags Head Outlet mall, a wealth of restaurants, and so much more!

Layout:

Downstairs: Living room with Water Views and slider access to the Sound-Front Patio, Water-Side Dining Area with slider access to Patio, Kitchen, Washer/Dryer Area, Half Bathroom, and enclosed Water-Side Patio with Furniture, Grill, and Gated Access to Community Area.

Upstairs: King Master with Water Views, Full Master Bathroom, and private access to Sound-Front Balcony, Queen Bedroom with Water Views, Twin Bedroom, and Full Bathroom.

Parking: Each unit has one RESERVED parking space. ALL GUEST spaces are first-come, first-serve.

Perfect location, but outdated

We really enjoyed our stay here because of the location. The patio overlooks the Sound, right next to the community pool, and we could walk over to Jockey's Ridge state park (dunes). We were able to crab, fish, swim, and kayak right in front of the place. The lifeguarded beach is less than 5 min drive away with parking and restroom facilities. The actual property is basic and outdated, but comfortable. There was a leak at the back door during a rain and we did find a few dead bugs randomly throughout the week.

Never again

The property is old and outdated. The floors were sandy and gritty. We had to wear our shoes the whole time. The baseboards look like they have never been cleaned. The kitchen was equipped with the bare minimum, not even a blender. The Wifi didn't have a good connection. On our last night, we killed a snake in the upstairs bathroom. We killed several large water bugs that resemble cockroaches. I would never rent this unit again.

Beach life

Outdated needs painting and definitely new mattresses the king one was hard as a rock, great view from the back deck and centrally located for most of out needs beach access only half a block away. Well maintained property outside good pools.

Outdated

It was a decent place to stay while I had business there. It is very outdated in furniture and decor (some looks 25+ years old with holes and stains- lots of old food stuck in the wicker coffee table) Musty smell. (I put Glade plug in air fresheners which helped) Needs a paint job...bad. Most walls have scrapes, nicks, and clearly have not been painted in well over 15 years. Vertical blinds in living and dining room were broken Saw about a dozen large cockroaches in various rooms during my stay. The second week, an army of ants came in through a crack in the bathroom ceiling and infiltrated the wall and bathtub (attracted to my shower gel). (you could say it is North Carolina, but I stayed at another condo across town for 2 weeks before this and never saw a single bug) The WORST though was there was NO cell service there, and the WiFi was very weak and intermittent. Plus, every time it rained just a little, the WiFi would go completely out. The connection was so bad, it was difficult for me to do my work and have required virtual meetings. Very disappointed in that as it affected my work greatly. (Never had this problem at the condo across town- even during the 1 week Nor'Easter storm) The owners should invest in decent high speed WiFi and update the decor and paint. And get a regular exterminator.

Great sunsets

When called property managers about the dish tv not working they were to send someone out And they never did! We finally figure out how to work tv two days before we left!! Tv was not connected to internet!! Water temp in house could have been hotter! After one shower water was warm not hot! Dryer was temperamental and needed better working blinds on sliding doors! There were several updates/ facelifts that could be done like painting spots on wall where you can see down to the drywall!! Porch could have been swept off lots of pine needles like inches thick of needles! Window glass on sliding doors needed cleaned!! But over all a very enjoyable quiet place! The pool was very close off the porch and loved the water view off the back deck! The location was great!!Beautiful sunsets!!
