Bon séjour

Nous avons passé un un agréable séjour dans cette villa de La Manga, mais au niveau des équipements de cuisine, attention il n'a pas de cafetière électrique mais une cafetière moka express (rustique), pas de torchons à vaisselle et pour les mains, bon couchage, vue magnifique, calme, la, plage très belle et propre et à deux pas de la villa, des commerçants à proximités. Je vous la conseille;

Amazing view of the La Manga canal

We enjoyed our three night stay at the beach house. The house was well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable and clean with good pillows. The kitchen had all the dishes, pans and appliances needed. The second floor balcony had great views of the canal and the roof top has a panoramic view of the beach and the canal. It's a wonderful safe place to walk along the canal in the back of the house or along the beach across the street in the front. There are many good restaurants. Pulpito restaurant gave us a comical roll of toilet paper because all the markets were closed and there wasn't any toilet paper in the house, very nice of them.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus mit kl. Garten. Hinterm Garten ist der Kanal zum Yachthafen mit klarem, türkisen Wasser. Auf der anderen (Strassen)Seite der Sandstrand des Mittelmeeres (Wir waren im Wasser, DAS war kalt!!!)

Wir waren über Sylvester dort. Fast ganztägig Sonne (im Schatten ca 18 Grad) und herrliches Wetter. Wir konnten fast jeden Tag morgens und abend draussen essen.

Alles war sauber und aufgeräumt und man brauchte nur das zu besorgen, was man selbst benötigt (Lebensmittel, Gertränke, Duschgel, Gewürze etc).

Geschirr, Besteck, Tassen, Küchengeräte, WLAN, TV, Waschmaschine, Klimaanlage, Holzkohle(kugel)grill etc sind vorhanden und technisch in Ordnung.

Die zuvor beschriebenen streunenden Katzen liessen sich kaum blicken und die Wenigen, die es doch wagten, mögen überhaupt kein Wasser ;)

Die Schlüsselübergabe und Kommunikation mit "The Spanish Connection" (Verwaltung) liefen problemlos. Alle sind sehr nett und freundlich, sprechen allerdings, wie schon erwähnt, nur Englisch und Spanisch.

Die Verwaltung befindet sich am Hafen von Cabo de Palos, nebenan sind ein paar Bistros und Parkplätze.

In der Umgebung war es zu der Jahreszeit sehr ruhig. Supermarkt, Restaurants und Kneipen sind in ca 20 Min gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Die Geschäfte unmittelbar vor der Tür waren (vermutlich auf Grund der Jahreszeit) geschlossen.

Alles in Allem: Gerne wieder!

Comfartable little house next to the Mediterreanean Sea. Just behind the garden is it's little ship canal with clear turqouise water and the well cleaned sandy beach is located on the other side of the road (we had a bath in the sea - has been a bit chilly ;) ) We've been there for New Year Eve and it was cozy outside (sunny, about 18 degrees celsius) so we had breakfast and diner there.

The house was clean and tidy, everything you need was present (dishes, cups, coffee maker, air conditioning, TV, WiFi, washing machine, charcoal BBQ etc).

You just need to buy your personal stuff (food, drinks, toiletry etc).

Less strawing cats there - they don't like water ;)

Handing over the keys by "The Spanish Connection" worked pretty well. It is the administration (some pubs and car park next to it) and it's employees were very kind. They just speak english and spanish.

The neighborhood it was very quite and nearly lost in December.

Shops, pubs, restaurants are just a 20-minute-walk away, the ones just in front were seasonally closed.

Coming back!

Outstanding Vacations

The description of the property is as it stands in the announcement , so we had no surprises. The location is fantastic for those who want to spend a family holiday. We were welcomed and house conditions and location are great . The beach is even close. The supermarket is relatively close , and it has everything we need. I would strongly recommend . To repeat in coming years.

bon emplacement, mais équipement à revoir

A notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que :

- la baie vitrée ne pouvait pas etre entièrement ouverte

-le store électrique ne fonctionnait pas

- les ampoules ne fonctionnaient pas au niveau du salon, des escaliers et de la terrasse

- il n y avait pas de seche linge contrairement a ce qui est indiqué (mais possibilité d etendre le linge)

- il y avait peu d assiettes (8)

- les fauteuils de jardin etaient en mauvais état, voire inutilisables pour 1ou 2 chaises

Nous avons donc informé la personne de l agence qui a paru surprise. A notre depart, 15jous plus tard, seul le store électronique etait réparé.

Je regrette que ces problèmes de maintenances ne sont pas réparer aussi rapidement qu'ils le pourraient, mais j’espère que cela ne vous empêchera pas de profiter de vos vacances !! Je peux vous confirmer que: - le problème de baie vitrée a été corrigé. - Le store n’est pas électrique, il se manœuvre manuellement. - Les deux ampoules ont été remplacées. - Concernant le sèche-linge, comme je vous l'ai indiqué, c'est une erreur de traduction de notre part, apparemment la traduction plus approprié est " un étendoir". - nous allons vous obtenir plus des assiettes. - les 2 chaises en bois ont été remplacées.

Great townhouse, missing a few things

So I have stayed in a lot of vrbo vacation homes, so I am comparing this home to a lot of amazing homes. We had 2 elderly parents and a 1.5 year old.

Pros:

Pretty good location, not a condo as is a lot of places around this area. This is town house. Awesome roof terrace. Pretty nice beach right across the street. Little convenience store literally 50 steps away where I bought milk, super glue (had to buy a lot of things actually). Has washing machine and drying racks that you can lay your clothes out to dry in the sun. Has some beach toys (floating alligator, sand pail). Restaurant and gelato place less than a km away, walkable. Parking spot right in front (free) so you didn't have any steps when you brought your groceries or luggage in. Had a baby high chair. Removable shower head=easy to hose down a baby. Nice backyard, fun to watch the ships go by. Safe area. Retractable shade for table in backyard. Air conditioner worked well, as well as ceiling fans. Has a bike, but I didn't ride it. Has hair dyer. Lots of wine glasses. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Nice closets.

Cons:

We had a toddler with us, so stair that was missing a handrail was a bit scary (but manageable ). No beach towels. Not in a busy part of town, but nice if u want to get away. Did not have a boogie board, umbrella or sun shade, or that many beach things (had to buy beach towels, mats, etc).But when I asked the property management company they brought some over (as well as a travel baby bassinet that they forgot to set up for us ) right away, so 5 stars to the management company! No screens on doors or windows, but didn't really have a problem with bugs. Family of stray cats in backyard are beggars, come right up to you when you are trying to eat. No extra toilet paper or paper towels (see convenience store comment above). No instructions or info book about how to work the washing machine, doors (some don't lock or close well), nor the area. Doors upstairs slam really hard at night with the trade winds. Shower upstairs = beautiful! but not designed well! as shower head higher than door, so water leaks onto floor everywhere. You need to hold the shower head to prevent that from happening, luckily, it is a removable shower head. Shower downstairs=very tight, not spacious. No laundry or dish washing detergent. Washing machine small. No dryer. Supermarket is across bridge, about 1.5 km away, need a car. Bathrooms don't have a place to put your stuff down (no wall ledge, table , etc).
