Nice Place! Great View!

The apartment was as described, clean and well cared for. Nice view. Jane, the owner was very kind and accommodating, as was Nico who tends to the property. It was really nice having access to Netflix and other streaming TV. The washing machine is in the basement of the building. No dryer. There is a clothesline in the same room as the washer, but being cold and damp, I brought it to the apartment and hung them on a portable clothesline we use when camping. The only thing we found missing were things such as salt, pepper, sugar, etc, if you want to cook.

If you come into St. Gervais on the train and then you have a ticket for an autocar to Chamonix, an autocar is a bus, which is operated by the train company and it runs on time. It dropped us at Chamonix Sud (by a bowling alley) and from there it is a brief walk to the apartment. You will see a sign for the hospital. Follow that road towards the apartment, it will be on your left.

I would recommend this apartment to my friends.

A peaceful, spacious, and comfortable home away from home

We enjoyed staying in this apartment so much, that we are renting it again for a second summer! The location is spectacular: a quite and quaint street that is also quite close to the bus station, cablecar station (nice to be nearby if you're visiting for sightseeing for climbing), and with quiet surrounding properties. One of the priorities for us was being accessible to the city center (we're walking and didn't have a car), but also be peaceful and in nature. This location was just about perfect for those needs. The apartment itself is quite comfortable for at least 4 people (we had 4). The living room has plenty of group sitting spaces with several couches and table with benches, is very well lit, and has a great view of the glacier, mont blanc range, and the Midi station; these combine for some beautiful sunsets you can watch from either of two balconies (though we preferred the side one away from the kitchen). The bedrooms are well-equipped and with comfortable beds; we felt like we had everything needed. Temperature-wise the apartment is suitable, although we were there in July and so can't speak to winter. The kitchen is likewise well-equipped, and we never felt a lack of anything missing for cooking or baking. Actually, there is a rather substantial assortment of cookware and general dinnerware, more than we anticipated. The main bathroom is spacious and the shower has good pressure and works well. The toilet room is quite small, though, but it's okay. One of the great advantages of this apartment is that it's the top floor, with nobody above and a quiet neighbor. This also leads to one of the only drawbacks, which is the several flights of stairs needed when bringing luggage, as there is no elevator. However, it's perfectly fine for normal day to day use, unless you're hauling luggage every day:) The main draw for us was the feeling of being in a home, and not in someone else's property: everything was comfortable and seemed familiar, making us feel at home starting from the first night there. All of the pictures are accurate, and the apartment is in fact as nice, clean, and well-equipped as advertised. The views are also as beautiful and peaceful as shown. It feels like a home away from home, which is why we're going back for a second time. If you rent this property, you may end up feeling the same:)

Good apartment only 10 minutes walk from town centre

Skiing trip to chamonix

Great location for skiing in chamonix, lovely well-maintained, clean apartment. It was comfortable for our family of five. We had first class advice from the owner with helpful tips and information. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this to our friends.

Fantastic place to visit - will definitely be back

We stayed in this appartment for a few days in September - the weather was fantastic, the appartment was well-equipped and much roomier than lots of 2-bedroomed ski appartments that we have stayed in previously! The appartment is in a great location - a few minutes walk to the centre of town and an amazing view of Mont-Blanc - what more could we want !! Didn't want to leave so will definately love to go back !!

Great location and fantastic apartment

The apartment is close to the ski bus stops as well as shops bars and restaurants. There are great views across the mountains. The apartment is well equipped throughout. If I had one criticism, it would be the lack of control over the heating which is centrally controlled in the block so there were a couple of times when it felt a little chilly. This was not a major problem and we really enjoyed our stay.

You are quite right that the central heating is controlled centrally, which means its constantly on between 6am and 11pm in the winter. Usually this causes the apartment to be too warm so guests use the thermostats on the radiators to turn the temperature down, which of course could leave it a little chilly for the tastes of the next guest. As you were the first guest of the winter season perhaps the thermostats were left turned down from the summer. I'm sorry about that, I'll let our in-resort team know to check this next time. I'll also look into other ways of keeping the temperature ambient in the hours after midnight. Many thanks for your observations, we look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
