This is in a great quiet position opposite the beach with gentle walks either way along the promenade. Well furnished and Barbara was such a help as we speak no Spanish and we were using a phrase book. The owner only speaks Spanish but tried very hard to communicate.

The only downside was no English TV. This is a good place for older people like us, We hope to return next year.

Excellent apartment, interesting area

Had a very good week, apartment has everything needed, Spanish caretakers downstairs lovely, ex-pat owner not too far away and popped in once to see if we were OK. The area was pretty much all Spanish, great beach restaurants, bars and beaches, good choice of supermarkets and local shops. Nice 60 min stroll into Malaga along the prom and/or 15 minute bus ride. Easy to get to from the airport by train and bus.

Ate on the terrace every day for breakfast with a fine view towards Malaga port

lovely, we had a great time

This is just a great apartment. Very well appointed and it contained all the bits and pieces that one would have at home. Just at the front was a patio area where we dined mostly but up an external flight was an area that occupied the area of the footprint of the house. One could have a great party there, but there was only the two of us. Convenient to Malaga just a little over an hours walk away but an €0.80 bus ride and they run approx every ten minutes. We went there six times. Nerja is also very convenient and we visited there twice. In this apartment you are in the real Spain, not touristy at all and very little English spoken and while neither of us had Spanish, we liked that and we felt we had the comfort of knowing that Barbara was but a phone call away if we got into difficulty. The property owner, Carmella and her daughter, Isabell were always very friendly and courteous though they only spoke Spanish. We look forward to going back there some time in the future DV.

Le descriptif est conforme.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le bruit des vagues, des cacatoès du matin au soir.

El Palo un coin plus populaire que le centre, très vivant, les gens sont super gentils.

On a super bien mangé, El Palo regorge de chiringitos, super sympas.

Ideal Location

The apartment is in an excellent location and is good value for money - it is right at a lovely beach! All along the beach front are plenty of restaurants and cafes serving delicious food and specialising in fried fish. The area is typically Spanish and not touristy at all. The supermarket is within easy walking distance. The apartment is as specified and has a lovely little terrace to sit and have meals or just to sit and look out over the beach and sea. There is a roof terrace but I found this disappointing. However, beach chairs and a parasol are provided so this was not really an issue. The apartment is also within easy reach of the bus stop to Malaga which is only a 15 minutes journey. The buses are excellent and run regularly even throughout the night. Buses to other areas throughout the region run from Malaga. Malaga has plenty of interesting museums (we loved the car and fashion museum!) as well as a great selection of shops, cafes, ice cream parlours, restaurants and a park. There are loads of attractions to visit around Malaga province including a botanical garden, water parks, amusement park (open till 1.30 am), butterfly garden, caves and even a Buddhist temple. So there is plenty to keep different generations within a family happy! And if you love clothes and shoe shopping - go to nearby Torremolinos!

I would definitely recommend this apartment to those who do not wish to be in the typical tourist resorts nearby and knowing a small amount of Spanish helped get us by! My only concern is that I had to pay the remaining amount due for the apartment to the owner in cash and I would have preferred to have paid this directly into their bank account.

All 3 of us very much enjoyed our holiday (with my daughter aged 21 and son aged 12).
