Great house, very relaxing area
We loved staying at the Trout Pond house. The lay out worked perfectly for our families and was fully stocked with kitchen items to use the week we were there. We enjoyed fishing down the street at the lake and was a short drive to stores and attractions in Meredith and Laconia. My nephew loved feeding the fish in the trout pond and we saw a blue herring, turtle and hummingbirds right on the property. Our only complaint was that it was hot in the house, but with the fans provided at the house plus the fans we brought we managed, we understand it's hot in July. We would definitely go back!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We are so pleased that you and your family found the home well-equipped, and its proximity to Meredith and Laconia ideal. We look forward to having you back again next summer!
Trout pond house was great!
My family loved staying at the trout pond house. The house had everything we needed and feeding the fish everyday was a fun experience. We also enjoyed fishing down at the lake which was a short walk from the house. It was also a short drive to Laconia where we went to a beach and rented a pontoon boat on Lake Winnipesaukee. We would definitely return!
Everything was amazing! Only small issue was the oven looked like it had not been cleaned in over a year and there was only 1 HDMI cord so had to move and connect depending what tv we wanted to use. I would definitely rent this house again. Did see a moose right out front on our last night 😁
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that you were able to see the local wildlife "up close and personal." We do apologize about the oven; we have brought your comments to our housekeeping manager. We look forward to helping you plan your next trip to the Lakes Region again soon.
Great, private property with lots of space.
This property was super easy to find and settle into. We wished we could have a fire pit at the house!! It was something we all missed. The windows were a little daunting to open with big spiders all webbed in the panes. There were a lot of spiders. But we all survived! We brought our own fans, so plus the fans supplied, we had a breeze during the dog days of summer we were there. The beach at Lake Kanasatka wasn’t far but did get crowded easily because it’s a little small. The canoe was available and the house had floaty tubes for use. The house was equipped with enough odd pans and supplies to get done whatever we wanted for the whole families meals. There was ample space for everyone. The tv lacked much choice, but the boys got the DVD/VCR going. Feeding the trout and turtles was one of our favorite daily activities along with ping pong. The beds were comfortable for a week. The place isn’t far from markets or stores and there’s a beach on the big lake not far. The cleaning lady showed up about an hour early on our last day, so we felt a little rushed to get out. The place was very peaceful. The docks allotted for some evening fishing. Overall we all enjoyed the trout pond house. We were all relaxed almost right away. We would visit again. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!
Loved staying at the Trout Pond House
We stayed there for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially feeding the fish every night. House was well stocked and very comfortable
“Trout Pond House” is definitely a guest favorite and feeding the fish is a great highlight! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at this vacation getaway and hope to see you again on your next trip to our area.
My family visited in August and the only drawback was that we had very limited channels on the television, I think this was new.
We are pleased to hear that you had a great time at this lovely home! Thank you for letting us know about the limited channels on the television, so that we can pass this feedback on to the owners. We hope to see you again for your vacation next summer!
