Há um terraço com vista para jantar. Gaucin é perfeita para explorar Andaluzia ocid. - Ronda, Sevilha, Córdoba, Granada, Cádis. Comboio lento ótimo nas montanhas Gaucin - Granada/Algeciras. Ou pode só conviver, na tranquilidade e autenticidade dum povo trabalhador espanhol. Praia a 25 minutos, Marbella - 50 minutos. Mais de 100 trilhos alpinistas marcados - oliveiras e amendoeiras, cavalos e ovelhas, javalis, etc. Observação de aves nos caminhos migratórios. Bares de tapas, restaurantes, ótimo castelo preservado com vistas panorâmicas.
We have just returned from the most amazing holiday in Gaucin. Firstly I must thank Sylvia and Joe who were responsible for creating the perfect apartment for our relaxing holiday, just wonderful. We enjoyed everything, the beautiful terrace with its spectacular views across to Gibraltar and Africa, the overall comfort and stylish decor, it felt like home from home. There is absolutely everything you need, we tried to spend time at the splendid infinity pool every day, very relaxing. There is so much to do in and around Gaucin, other reviewers have already mentioned. We have travelled Spain for many years and have never found so many wonderful restaurants in one small town. Try as many as you can or save some for your next visit! Gaucin is a special place and so is Sylvia and Joe's Rosa Alta Apartment.
My entire life, I have been an avid lover of all things Spanish--the food, the culture, the music. However, whenever I make journey over to Spain, I always go to Madrid or the north. For the first time in my life, I decided to venture into the south. It was the best decision I ever made! Sylvia and Joe sent a car to pick my husband and me up from the airport, and within the first few minutes, I wondered why I had never come here before. The beautiful, sprawling mountainous landscape was visible even from the car, and it only got better once we reached the gorgous, white village of Gaucin. The apartment has the perfect placement. It is within walking distance of everything, including Paco Pepe (my favorite tapas bar by the end of the trip) and a lovely, tiny grocery store with great bread and delicious fruit. The exterior of the apartment, huge oak doors on a quiet street, were perfect, but the inside was even better. The white furniture is extremely stylish (my favorite part is the painting of the donkey, matching the donkey who lives below our huge bay window), and very comfortable. The bed was perfectly sized, and the bathroom was very spacious, though there was another one should we have wanted to get ready simultaneously. As a regular traveler, I often stay in apartments, but nothing I have ever experienced even compares to this. We had a fully-stocked kitchen, a wonderful infinity pool, and a beautiful terrace. Most importantly, however, we had complete access to the gorgeous view of the huge Spanish mountains, the rock of Gibralter, and the mountains of Africa. It was the best vacation of my life, and I fully, completely reccommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience true Spanish culture.
This amazing seceret hideaway in the Andalusian hills is the perfect place to stay while exploring this beautiful area. The white village of Gaucin is picture perfect with fantastic views of Gibraltar and Africa. The apartment itself has an open plan layout with two huge bathrooms. It was impecably clean and well kept. It has a lovely balcony where we enjoyed breakfast every morning while looking out on the view. The pool is accessed by going outside of the property and down a side stair case. Again, the pool and shower area was spotless. The terrace area is a great place to sit and read if you dont fancy the drive down to the beach. There are many lovely restauarants in Gaucin - my favourites were La Fructuosa, La Casita and Lateral. La Fuente was nice too! The locals do observe siesta between 2.30- 5.30pm so we generally ate lunch at the apratment but we did once go to local Tapa bar, El Puente, which was excellent! While staying here, I would definatley reccomend the scenic drive to Rhonda which is a white town situated on top of a gorge and boasts the second largest bull ring in Spain. Overall, I had the most wonderful holiday in Gaucin and the apartment was the icing on the cake. It well exceeded my expectations and I would definately reccomend staying there for couples. It is stylishly decorated and perfectly compliments the surronding area. I can't priase the apartment and its owners enough. I can't wait to go back!
Gaucin é uma aldeia branca no limite das montanhas Ronda. Domina uma paisagem rural espetacularmente bela, os Estreitos, Gibraltar e Marrocos. Confina c/ a maior floresta virgem da Europa. Tem um belo castelo da idade Romana, e está só a 25 minutos do interior de Ronda, e da costa e das praias. É uma Meca p/alpinistas, observadores de aves, e querem tranquilidade e natureza. Há festivais ao longo do ano: Reis Magos em janeiro, Carnaval em fevereiro, a reencenação da conquista de Gaucin pela França nas guerras Napoleónicas em março, as largadas de touros no domingo de Páscoa em abril; Estúdios Abertos de Artistas nas 2 últimas semanas de maio, a fogueira de S. João em junho, o festival flamengo no fim de julho, a feira em agosto, a Novena e procissões do Santo Niño em setembro. Há mercados mensais c/artesanato e alimentos locais. Gaucin tb está bem localizada para fazer excursões pela Andaluzia. Outras atividades: Observação de aves.
