We had a fantastic week in our one bedroom unit at Le 111. The pictures provided were up to date and the space was bigger than expected. The units have been renovated in the past year so everything is up to date.
Everything was spotless and we were well looked after with lots of attention to detail including wooden hangers and extra towels for the pool.
The wooden shutters provide excellent cooling and the french doors opening from the bedroom and kitchen/living area let in a pleasant breeze at night.
The olympic-type pool was a big plus after a day of sightseeing. We ate outside every day on our patio and overlooked the view of the pool, olive and fig trees as well as beautiful landscaping.The cicadas serenade you through the heat of the day. The local bakery has great croissants and baguettes that we picked up each morning...what a treat! Favourite local restaurant La Margarelle is within easy walking distance.
There was so much to see and do so we barely scratched the surface. We went to vineyards, toured ruins (favourite Les Ancestrales at Glanum), visited famous sites such as Pont D'avignon and our favourite Pont du Gard, had wonderful lunches by selecting the plats du jour (favourite La Reine Jeanne in St. Remy en Provence). The sun and light are an artist's inspiration and we visited the aslyum at St. Paul de Marisole where Van Gogh stayed and saw an exhibit of his worked projected on huge rock faces of a quarry at Cathedrale des Images. Les Ventoux mountains provide hiking opportunities.
Located about 20 minutes from Avignon, this gite combined the best of charming country living with easy access. We have recommended it whole heartedly to family and friends.
A lovely spacious apartment (we had the upstairs apartment) with a friendly owner. The large pool is as shown on the photograph. The property was clean and well maintained.
It is very convenient for the centre of the village with a range of bars and restaurants, located on a quiet side street. There is plenty to see within easy driving distance including Avignon, Mont Ventoux and several stunning Roman structures.
The description of the apartment was extremely accurate regarding location, layout and facilities. This spacious apartment forms part of a beautifully converted former barn located in a charming French village (with a train station & good bus service) about 20 minutes from the centre of Avignon by car. The apartment is spacious, with a very large and comfortable bedroom, a large bathroom with a powerful shower & plenty of hot water and a spacious living area/kitchen. Unlike many holiday apartments, the kitchen is extremely well equipped with pots, pans and utensils for those people who like a quiet meal in. The apartment is spotless.
The outside area consists of a beautiful seating area with umbrella for the hot Provence sun and a fabulous swimming pool for cooling off. The grounds are beautifully kept and extremely peaceful.
The village itself has everything you need - a couple of bakeries for your morning baguette, a small supermarket, a butchers, banks, and a couple of pharmacies. There are a couple of quiet bars and restaurants which are of a good standard. Large supermarkets are situated a few kilometres away.
The area itself is well placed for exploring everything that beautiful Provence has to offer. We drove every day for 10 days and barely scratched the surface.
The owner, Alice, gives an excellent service. She is very knowledgeable about the area and is always on hand to answer any questions or give recommendations. Although she does live on site, it is separate from the holiday lets and so still maintains that sense of privacy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to friends and in fact, I am about to start organizing my return trip in 2016!
The listing was an accurate description of what was there. Our apartment had a small but functional kitchen / living area and very spacious bedroom. The semi-private outdoor area was a big plus. Perfect proportions for a couple.
The pool area was spotless and great to hang out in, with all the necessary loungers etc. The village is very cute, two bakeries, a butcher and a couple of little shops mean you can make your own French feast, or try one of a handful of walk-able restaurants. Avignon is ~ 20 minutes away and very accessible by car.

We stayed in no 1 for 2 weeks and could have no complaints.
The flat is spacious , bright and provided adequate amenity to our likng.

This a great little apartment. Ideal for a two people, yet having the facilities usually only found in bigger rentals, with the pool and outdoor area. Everything was immaculately clean and exactly as described in the web site. The rooms are spacious and full of character.
All the facilities needed can be found within 5 minutes walking in the village, which felt very secure and full of local character.
The owner, Alice, achieved just the right blend of availability and helpfulness without being intrusive. Living on the site and being there to greet us on arrival was reassuring.
The pool is large and well maintained and very clean.
The locality is full of places to visit. We did some adventurous hill walks and would advise getting some detailed maps and guide books before you venture out, if this is your interest, as French signage can be a bit hit and miss.
We hope to go back again in the future.
