Renovado Cottage pedra do século 18 situada na borda do Parque Nacional de Yorkshire Dales. The Cottage ocupa uma área de bosques e ribeirinha encantador ainda está apenas a 500 metros do topo da Skipton High Street.

Lovely peaceful location

We stayed for a week in July, the cottage was in a beautiful location and right next to Skipton Woods in the shadows of the castle. Easy access to the woods, canal path with a gentle walk into Skipton and plenty of things to see and do.

Facilities very good, clean and comfortable. First class decorations and plenty of natural daylight. The owners are very knowledgable about the area and the history of the buildings, nothing too much trouble. Excellent selection of local information available in the cottage on arrival to give 'food for thought' regarding places to visit.

Great choice of restaurants and pubs to enjoy in Skipton with a wide selection of foods available for those who do not want to self cater. Try the Narrow Boat pub as the selection of real ales superb and the food fantastic. Dined there on two occasions and was very impressed. Excellent value for money, do try the Belly Pork....delicious. If you want to order a take away to be delivered to the cottage, make sure you have the post code to hand........as we found out!!!!

This is a great base for exploring the Dales and the beautiful scenery all around. Day trips to Grassington, Ripon, Harrogate, Malham Cove and many other beautiful destinations are easily accessible by public transport or car.

Good value for money and a very pleasant location. Extremely recommendable.

Beautiful setting

We have just had a short stay in this beautiful cottage. Set at the foot of skipton woods it's within easy walking distance to the town and the car didn't move once!

The pictures do not do this gorgeous place justice.... it definitely had the wow factor when we walked in. It had everything we needed and more.

We will definitely be back again without a doubt.

DAMP, WALLS FLAKING NO AIR.

NO GARDEN WITH CHAIRS,NO .BQ. PATIO DOORS DON'T OPEN.

ON A MAIN WALKWAY TO SKIPTON WOODS. CHAIRS BROKEN.

BOTH TOILET SEATS BROKEN.

PROPERTY NOT WELL MAITAINED.

TOWELS WERE PROVIDED BUT WERE VERY SMELLY.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PROPRTY AS NOT ACCURATE WITH AMMENITIES.

THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS DOGS WERE ALLOWED BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED WERE INFORMED THAT THEY COULD NOT GO UPSTAIRS.

Resposta do proprietário: Guests are welcome to open the windows. The cottage has a garden and chairs are provided if requested. The patio doors are being attended to as are the chair and toilet seat. The towels were professionally laundered so should have been fresh. Dogs are not allowed upstairs. The whole cottage will be refurbished in the second two weeks of August.

Wonderful cottage, great location

We have never stayed in such a relaxing cottage as this! Rental properties can sometimes be a little cramped but not this one. It's extremely spacious and the roof lights and numerous windows give a great feeling of airiness. Yet at the same time it is warm and cosy with everything you need including a very comfortable bed. We would have preferred to have had the shower in the bathroom on the gallery level but hey, the one downstairs had lots of hot water and excellent power.

I have never known a place so quiet: there is no traffic outside and even early morning birdsong did not penetrate the thick walls. The woods are literally outside the cottage and from there you can walk right out into the countryside, so there is no need for a car.Jill was very helpful when we arrived but then left us to our own devices which is exactly as it should be. We knew she was just the other side of the path had we needed her.

The only thing missing was a wifi connection but to be honest to be free of emails etc turned out to be a bonus and when we did want to use the internet to investigate bus times etc it was possible to get a phone connection.

We really hope we can go back at some point in the future for a longer stay.

Weekend retreat

We booked for a long weekend stay for a family wedding. The cottage was a great base for our mini-break. a little tricky to find at first, but the neighbours were very helpful with directions. Jill was a fabulous host and we had everything we needed.

I'm sure we will be back again. Just one 'niggle' - the cottage is on a busy footpath into the woods, so blinds on the other windows might deter the 'nosey parkers' walking their dogs.

Beautiful property in fantastic location.

A group of four friends, we stayed in this property for a weekend while visiting Skipton to attend Yarndale.

We were very impressed when we arrived at the property. It has a lovely large open plan downstairs & two cute bedrooms upstairs on the mezzanine level.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and we found the kitchen to be very well supplied, with plenty of cutlery/crockery & pans etc..It was also nice that the kitchen is open plan, meaning whoever is doing the cooking doesn't feel isolated & can join in the conversation.

The location of the cottage was perfect, with a very pretty short walk down to the town along the canal. It's also right next to the entrance into Skipton Woods, although we didn't have chance to explore that ourselves, it seemed very popular with lots of dog walkers passing the cottage on their way into the woods.

Although the path alongside the cottage is quite busy, it never feels intrusive as the windows are set below adult head height, so passers by can't really look into the property. This by no means the property is dark however, as there are lots of windows and skylights which let in lots of natural light, making the property feel very airy.

The property was well suited to a group of friends sharing as it has the two bathrooms, but I would also recommend it for families. In fact I hope to take mine back to visit in the future as I know my 5 year old daughter would love it & there is so much to see & do in the local area.

My only note on that would be that if you have small children who are very sensitive to noise at bedtime, the open nature of the bedrooms may not suit your needs as you do get the noise from downstairs filtering up through the curtains.

Skipton itself is a lovely town, with plenty of choices for food & drink. Whilst there, in addition to taking in Yarndale (a must for any keen crafter) we also enjoyed a boat trip on the Sunday morning.

We had one very slight issue, which was a lack of a sheet for the sofa bed downstairs, although in the owners defense I must stress that we had not requested one prior to arrival and I'm sure one would have been provided if we had. Just thought it was worth mentioning so you can ask for one ahead of your visit if you are planning on using any of the sofa beds.

In summary, we had a wonderful weekend in this idyllic cottage and I can't wait to get back there again. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Skipton.
