We were so pleased with this apartment. It was bigger than expected with beautiful high ceilings and lots of large windows or doors in every room letting in lots of light. Three great en-suite bedrooms, great sociable living/dining room area and lovely terrace. Small kitchen but we weren't planning on cooking anyway. There were only three of us but there would have still been enough room for six adults without feeling cramped. The photos don't do it justice at all. The owners live on the floor above; we dealt with the owners daughter on our stay who was just lovely. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Lisbon.
Wow, what a find, a huge, cool, stylishly decorated apartment, with three lovely double rooms in a lovingly restored old flat. Great kitchen, great TV. A superb terrace, just brilliant for unwinding at night, and all in great location near all the bars and restaurants. Ines is also a great, communicative host. Will definitely stay again. Tim
The apartment is very spacious (the photographs don't really do it full justice), clean and very well equipped. The area in which it is located is very well served by all forms of public transport within easy walking distance although the area is very hilly. Cais do Sodre train station with links to Belem, and the beaches of Estoril and Caiscais is a short downhill walk towards the Tagus. Rossio train station with a connection to Sintra,a beautiful town north of Lisbon, is a 10 - 15 minute walk. Tram lines and the metro are again within easy striking distance. In addition there are many restaurants, cafes and bars in the immediate area providing very good food for all budgets. Because the public transport infrastructure is so good access to tourist sites, museums etc is quite easy. The owners of the apartment are very helpful offering us numerous suggestions and tips on where to eat and what attractions to visit. Given the city centre location of the apartment there is some noise associated with city centre living but not so much that it detracted from our enjoyment of Lisbon. All in all this is an excellent apartment from which to enjoy all that Lisbon has to offer and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.
Very clean and maintained, handy for a downhill walk to the Tagus River for trams, ferries, buses and trains. Need to walk uphill at the end of a long day sightseeing though - hills can't be avoided. Very friendly owners of the property who live just upstairs if you encounter any problems which we didn't. Would definately recommend this apartment to family and friends. Once we got our bearings, we discovered good restaurants close by with friendly waiters and good food.
