Você vai encontrar o pub que descreve Hardy (The Acorn) ea casa onde Tess era de ter ficado na cidade vizinha de Evershot.
Benville Cottage is just gorgeous. The property is beautifully presented and is in a magical location in the heart of Dorset. We spent a whole week there and came back feeling like we'd had a proper break; having enjoyed the wonderful coast line (fossil hunting with the kids), great pub lunches and the stunning countryside. It's the first time we've hired a cottage and based on this we'd do it again.
We (a family of five, kids 12,9 and 5) spent a wonderful week in this lovely cottage. The cottage is very tastefully furnitured. It has a nice fireplace and an AGA cooker. The latter was unknown to us from Germany, but once we learnt about it we did not want to miss it. The garden is large and offers enough space for kids to play.
The villages around are simply beautiful. Especially, Evershot is a gem (afternoon tea in the Summers Lodge Hotel) highly recommended. Mapperton Garden is also worth a visit, like Abbott Swanery. The coast is 10m away and West Bay was our favourite swimming spot. But also the Cliff Walk at Charmouth is beautiful.
The contact with Peter was without any problems. He answered all questions we had immediately and provided us with a lot of good advice concerning the region.
Thus, a clear five star cottage!
We really enjoyed staying in the cottage. It had everything we needed. A real english atmosphere with fireplace and a AGA cooker! The whole house looked recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean. Thanks for the welcoming packet and fresh flowers.
The only thing we missed was a parasol (the sun was shining!) and cushions for the outside chairs. Also a description how to use the hot water in the shower would be welcome.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic spot. The house has been modernised to a very high standard but still maintains a country feel. The kitchen is well equipped with the Aga providing a warm welcome and we can imagine cosy winter nights in front of the woodburner! It is very easy to relax and unwind when taking in the stunning view from the back of the cottage. Peter, the owner, was friendly and very helpful, responding promptly to our emails regarding our booking. We would strongly recommend a stay here as it is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and villages with the coast within easy reach. We would recommend a visit to Hardy's cottage, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Forde Abbey's gardens and fountain are well worth a trip. For a breathtaking coastal walk we suggest Golden Cap at Seatown followed by lunch at either The Anchor Inn or The Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock. Locally we recommend The Acorn Inn at Evershot and for a real treat try Yalbury Cottage at Lower Bockhampton. It's a wonderful area to visit and explore. We'll definitely be back!
Wonderful Cottage with lovely views from the garden.Great Pub a few hundred yards along the lane. Some good walks round Evershot and the Melbury estate.Cottage had every facility we could have asked for.We all were delighted with our stay. Why not give yourself a treat.
We enjoyed a relaxing, family holiday at Benville cottage at the beginning of September 2013. The property is lovely with large, airy rooms and a beautiful garden for adults and children to enjoy. Having access to an Aga and large wood burning fire was useful during the occasional chilly evening and gave the cottage a really cosy feel. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, with a number of beaches and coastal walks a short drive away. The owner was extremely helpful and provided us with suggestions for things to do and places to eat during our stay. Recommended!
