Heart of the Hill é um local de refúgio romântico fantástico.

Excellent setup for a studio - everything we needed and more. We'll be back for sure!
We had a very relaxing week at "Heart of the Hill". Ron, the owner, called to check in with us several times during our visit. From the beginning, he was easy to work with and especially helpful in our case. We arrived late due to a medical emergency on route. He was very accommodating.
The rental is a exactly as described. We hope to return on our next trip the Oregon coast.
My husband and I recently enjoyed four nights in this wonderfully comfy studio, Unit A. We walked into a cozy, welcoming space that was just the right fit for the two of us. The view is great and the deck is semi-enclosed with glass so it is usable even when there are chilly winds. We were lucky and had sunny, blue sky weather for most of our stay. The walk to the beach through the neighborhood is short and peaceful.
There is a great functional kitchen and we prepared a lot of our own meals but we also had two great meals at Rosanna's Restaurant, a lunch and a dinner, where the food preparation and service were superb. It has a friendly relaxed atmosphere that is characteristic of Oceanside. No cell coverage in Oceanside but the WiFi in the rental worked great. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious for a studio and the tile and decor are charming.
We were fortunate to be there on some of the lowest tides of the year so we had easy access to Lost Boy Beach and all the tide pools at low tide. There were also a lot of exposed rock beds for good agate hunting. We also enjoyed Short Beach, between Oceanside and Cape Meares. I can't believe I have never been there before, thanks Ron for the tip. Cape Meares is also one of my "must do" locales when I am visiting. It is a great location for birders with lots of informative signage and during certain times of the year there are volunteers to point out birds of interest. The lighthouse tour has a lot of fascinating history and the views are spectacular. Don't miss the octopus tree, I've been visiting it since I was a kid many decades ago!
I love Oceanside and have had many memorable stays there with larger family groups in multiple house rentals and I have to say that Heart of the Hill is one of the nicest rentals in Oceanside. I have already sent recommendations to my six sisters who were anxious to hear how we liked the place. Having grown up in the Beaverton area we are all lovers of the Oregon coast and even though now we are spread out across the Pacific region we always come back to the Oregon coast. Thanks Ron and Kate for a spot to add to our favorites list!
Such a perfect getaway spot for a couple. We arrived to a perfect sunset view. The deck is lovely and wonderfully sheltered from the wind. And the placement of the bed and the dining table give you great options to enjoy the views. We could have stayed in the cabin all weekend but we had great spring weather and the beach is wonderful to explore. It's a short walk down to the beach and there are lots of places to explore in either direction. And two great restaurant choices. But the cottage itself is so wonderfully laid out and cosy. The kitchen and bathroom have all the things you'd need, plus a full size refrigerator, small dishwasher and stove if you want to cook more. There are also plenty of games, books and entertainment options (wifi and TV). I wish we could have stayed longer! (We stayed in A)
We recently stayed in this studio for a last minute weekend getaway with our young son. I agree with previous reviewers who say the view and attention to detail is even better than the pictures show! It was a perfect place to stay and enjoy a relaxing weekend at the coast. Ron was kind enough to let us bring our son (even though it is not labeled as suitable for children) because no one else was in the studio below. We really appreciated this accommodation and loved the place! I think it would especially be ideal for a romantic getaway or quiet weekend away.
I stayed here with my mother recently. The view is even more stunning than the pictures attest. We sat out on the porch and watched the sunset over the ocean - amazing! My mom uses a walker and/or canes, and it was a good place for her. The bathroom is too small to fit a walker all the way in, but canes/crutches work fine. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we could have needed to cook our own meals. The fold-out sofa was comfortable for me while my mom had the bed. The whole place includes small artistic and practical touches that really make it a comfortable and fun place to stay. It would also make for a nice romantic getaway. Highly recommend!
