Our family really enjoyed our week vacation at Rick's property on the lake. The location on the lake is ideal. The views from the deck and dock are fantastic. We enjoyed swimming off the dock, jumping off the diving board and using the ladder and steps to make it easy to get in and out of the water. We rented a boat and found it to be very easy to dock here since there are no rocks and there is plenty of space. The house is located on a cove, so it was the perfect spot to paddle with the 4 kayaks that came with the house.
The house had plenty of room for our family of 5 - two parents, two kids, and one grandmother. One of the double bedrooms is upstairs and separate from the others. The other bedrooms are downstairs. You enter the downstairs double bedroom as you descend the stairs. (There is no railing on the open side, so this might be a problem for families with toddlers.) The bunk beds are around the corner, separated by vertical blinds that can be open or shut. My daughter loved reading Harry Potter in the tiny bedroom that contains the two beds "under the stairs" just like Harry.
Rick is the type of host who will go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for your vacation. When the refrigerator failed during our stay, Rick immediately provided us with a large cooler and ice to save our food and then ran to the store to replace the refrigerator. Amazingly, he picked up a new fridge and had it replaced with hours. Now the house has a new refrigerator, so this won't happen again, but more importantly, Rick will do anything it takes to fix any problems that arise during your stay.
We also enjoyed the large dvd collection, the fire pit, and the wooden swing under the deck. This house has everything you need for a relaxing time at the lake.
