Apresentando janelas altas com vistas de um jardim da frente bem conservado e estar em plano aberto em um belo imóvel residencial. Cozinha totalmente equipada plano aberto. 2 quartos de casal, banheiro, amplo armazenamento e utilização do jardim.

Espaçosa área de estar com tectos altos, recentemente remodelado, o uso do jardim da frente.

Sala de recepção: (22'6 'x 14') Janela Sash baía com persianas originais com vista jardim, coving, teto subiu, lareira recurso com inserção em azulejo e mármore surround. TV 50 'tela plana. Pisos de madeira pintada. Estantes altas de cada lado da baía janelas. Radiador grande.

Bright, comfy London flat

We really enjoyed our stay. The online photos gave an accurate impression of this bright, compact space. It gave us everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. It was nice to have a full kitchen. The location is a short walk to the Underground, making it easy to get to the tourist attractions. And it is on a lovely residential street. It was the perfect home base to relax after exploring the city all day. Lara was easy to reach when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Gemütliches Apartment liebevoll dekoriert

Wir waren mit unseren beiden 9jährigen Kindern für vier Nächte in Laras gemütlicher und sehr geschmackvoll dekorierten Wohnung. Wir fühlten uns sofort sehr wohl, die Betten sind prima und - anders als in anderen Londoner Apartments - alle breit genug für insgesamt 4 Personen. Lara ist eine perfekte Vermieterin und hat stets sofort und hilfsbereit geantwortet. Alles hat super geklappt. Es war im übrigen auch ausreichend Seife und Toilettenpapier da..Lediglich der Boiler war ausgeschaltet als wir kamen und daher war natürlich auch das Wasser kalt. Aber eine schnelle mail von Lara und wir wussten bescheid. Wir mussten den Boiler (der ist übrigens im Schlafzimmer hinter einer Schranktür versteckt) nur anschalten und hatten in kürzester Zeit sehr heißes Wasser. Die Lage war für uns auch bestens - 10 Minuten Fußweg zur U-Bahn Shepard's Bush und der dortigen Riesen-Mall Westfield's, 8 Minuten zum Bahnhof Kensington Olympia und keine 5 Minuten zur Bushaltestelle Holland Road (hier kann man u.a. bis Earl's Court fahren). Absolut sichere Gegend - nie hatten wir ein schlechtes Gefühl. Die Straße ist sehr hübsch (wie fast alle Straßen in London City), das Haus ist schön (alles exakt wie auf den Fotos), die Wohnung gut geschnitten - ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen - aber das macht auch den Charme aus. Allerdings sind die Schlafzimmer auf der Seite der Hauptstraße, was für Kalt-/Frischluftschläfer etwas ungünstig ist, bei geschlossenen Fenstern aber kein Problem darstellt. Daher aber ein Stern Abzug. Ansonsten alles prima, sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Initial view of property is favorable, however that changes quickly upon closer inspection.

Despite having sent an e-mail and left two voicemails with the owner prior to our arrival, we received no instructions about getting a key, etc..I was forced to call VRBO customer service to have them contact the owner while sitting on my suitcase on the sidewalk outside the flat. That issue was resolved, however it was not a great introduction. The location is great, but the flat itself leaves much to be desired for its' premium price. Reminded me of some of the apartments I rented in older buildings when I was going to college.Hot water was unreliable, lights sketchy, bathroom smelled of dampness/mildew and the tub was badly stained. While it was spacious enough for two people, it definitely would be uncomfortable for the five people it is supposed to accomodate. Especially with only one tiny bathroom. No instructions on how to operate water heater, washer/dryer, etc.. Had to buy toilet paper and hand soap and the supply of bath towels was sad.

I would certainly look elsewhere on my next visit to London. I would cousel others to do the same. I would prefer to pay more for a better quality accomodation than feel cheated by an owner whose sole focus is maximizing profit at the expense of guests' comfort.

Resposta do proprietário: Unfortunately, it was a mistake of mine to run try apartment to someone I did not communicate with prior to booking. I have looked through all the correspondence, there have been no emails sent to me whatsoever until VRBO called me and I gave the information needed. The next thing I received was a rather aggressive email and her intention to leave which did not. First of all, the apartment is not advertised for 5 people and had the guest read the listing better she would have had different expectations. I was never told there would be 5 people staying. It is the first time I am faced with someone so hostile who is staying in my property. It is an old London building and by no means a five star hotel but it is clean and bright and has made many people's stay comfortable and enjoyable and it is of course likely that one person has chosen the wrong property for their stay. However, one thing is for certain, we have always tried to help guests wherever possible and had she requested our assistance or had let us know that she needed soap and toilet paper (which are amply provided, she may not have found them) we would have immediately sent some. It is really disappointing that such efforts go into creating and offering a comfortable home for guests and a guest who has not even attempted to ask for what they need deem us as simply profit seekers and entirely uninterested in the guests' experience. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Great location, as advertised

We really enjoyed the apartment! ,The location is great - a 5 minute walk from Shepard's Bush station. Lots of neighborhood restaurants nearby; especially charming a few blocks east. The floor plan was great for us traveling with two teenagers. The secondary bedroom is tight, but everyone gets their own bed and the living room provides good "hang out" space. The wi-fi worked great. I agree with the other poster that it would be helpful to have some instructions in the apartment (water heater operation, check out instructions, etc.). Lara was very responsive whenever I needed to contact her and returned our deposit very quickly.

Bright apartment

The apartment was decorated very prettily and was in a reasonably quiet area. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Sheperd's Bush subway stop, and a little bit farther for the enormous Westfield shopping center. Grocery stores were fairly close. We only went to one restaurant in the area. There are a lot in Westfield, but we didn't try them, as we didn't want to eat at a mall (too American for a London vacation.)

The second bedroom and the bathroom were very small. There was a lot of storage area and a lot of hooks for hanging clothes, backpacks and stuff. The windows in the bedrooms didn't open very easily, so it was warm and stuffy at night. The apartment had a musty smell.

The apartment was very bright, with large windows in all the rooms. We enjoyed the Wi-Fi and the large television.

Looks like pictures - but not a good stay

This property looks exactly as advertised. But that's all you get.

We were four professionals and 1 child.

Cons:

No arrival instructions provided.

We had to e-mail owner for address. Wrong tube station was provided as it's closed for renovations all summer.

No one to welcome us and give household instructions.

No key or key instructions provided - We were told we would get keys at 3. We stood around waiting for an hour. Went to ask the neighbors for their WIFI information so we could call the owner. Luckily the upstairs flat nanny told us that the key is usually hidden. So we got to spend another hour looking for the key.

Once inside - no written instructions provided.

No WIFI password provided.

The apartment was "tidy" but not clean.

We (four adults one child) stayed for 5 nights and the owner provided one roll of toilet paper - so we had to buy more.

No basic cooking supplies (salt/pepper/oil/vinegar)

No hot water for showers/baths the first night - had to figure out how to turn on water heater.

Never contacted by owner during or after the stay.

Pros:

Great location - took 10 minutes to walk to Tube.

Grocery store near the Tube station.

Air conditioning.

Washer and Dryer.

Large living room/kitchen which was nice with a 11 month old.

Of the five home stays we had over the past 5 weeks, this stood out for lack of service, communication and supplies. Our other hosts communicated effectively with us prior and during our stay even if we never met them in person. I personally prefer to have a less "pretty" apartment with more service/communication. We would never recommend this apartment.

We would recommend the location.

Resposta do proprietário: I am very sorry you had such a difficult time accessing the flat and other problems too. Usually we get an email prior to arrival to arrange final details. The wifi code has recently changed and it is under the modem, most places have it there. The flat is not for 5 people, it is for 4 and we made an exception this time to accommodate you. I am truly sorry you encountered so many problems and regret that you did not email or call, we usually respond very quickly.
