We had an absolutely wonderful time here. The condo was exactly as advertised, and we had absolutely no problems (except a couple of hours of power outage due to a fire someplace). The shuttle service that Wildwood Crest offers from street to water was also wonderful. Free of charge and allowed my elderly parents to truly enjoy all aspects of the vacation. We spend all of our time on the beach, boardwalk and restaturants. Multi-generational family fun for sure. Exactly what I was hoping for.
In searching for a place on the Jersey shore to take in some ocean sun and sea breeze, we came across the Stockton Beach Rental #393616. Being first timers to the H&A web site and first time renting from here, there were some reservations. However, once we stepped in the front door we knew it was a very good choice. The listing was accurate and the property was well maintained and clean. The location was ideal and basically right on the beach. Exactly as posted on the web page.
The owner / manager provided us with excellent customer service and was pleasant to deal with. He was very responsive to my e-mails and inquiries. He was extremely helpful and put any reservations on mine to rest. Nice guy to do business with.
The location was ideal. Hop in the car for a quick ride to the grocery store, drug store (for the sun screen you forgot) or many great places to eat. It is a good walk to reach the boardwalk but surely do-able for those who like to get and burn some calories. The parking is adequate and the ground level storage room is nice to have to keep those sandy beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys out of your living space.
Having teenagers, young adults and us parents in the mix of people staying for the week (or just a portion of the week) could have been difficult in other places. However, the layout of the condo let everyone enjoy their vacation and was well suited for those teenagers who like to sleep late, young adults and parents up early to cook and/or take a jog or walk on the beach. The layout provided all of us with that luxury of not being on top of one another. The Stockton Beach house #393616 truly was a fantastic place to stay and made our 2014 Jersey Shore vacation a great and memorable one! We will back to enjoy this fantastic place next year and in years to come. I truly recommend it.
We just finished our week at this beautiful condo and were sorry we had to leave. From beginning to end the condo satisfied our needs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were situated perfectly to separate the living areas from the quieter areas. This was necessary as I had two grandchildren ages 3 and 1 with us. The beach location was such that you could pack and go with minimal fuss. The kitchen was well equipped for all meals and full size fridge with ice dispenser perfect. I did heed an earlier review and bought plastic wine glasses with us for use on the patio and at the pool. The roof deck was perfect for watching fire works two nights last week. The outside first floor storage unit made beach going that much easier as sandy chairs and blankets could wait there for further use. Don't hesitate to rent this unit. We had a wonderfull time at this place. It was very clean, close to everything and the owner was very helpfull. I recommend this penthouse to any one who want's to have a great time at the beach with a luxury place to stay. We really hope to be able to rent it again next year. Everything looked just like the pictures, no bad surprise. A lot of space (2 kids and 4 adults), private balcony and very close to the Boardwalk. Only great reasons to go back.
This was our fourth year renting at Stockton. We typically stayed in a four bedroom oceanfront condo but decided to give this three bedroom condo a try. Our family of 5 with frequent visitors had plenty of room and the view was still great from the side balcony. The fifth floor was definitely quieter than other floors we stayed on. The beds were very comfortable (a must for us), the condo was very well done, clean and with high end appliances. We too had some inconveinences, but the owner was very responsive. You will need to bring your own wine glasses, paper/plastic dishware (especially if you want to grill/eat poolside), hairdryer, regular height beach chairs and umbrella, but other than that this condo has everything you need - steps to the beach and a short drive to the boardwalk and Cape May. We do plan to return to this condo in 2013.
History and tradition aside, I can't stand shabby at the shore - it doesn't feel like a vacation if the window treatments, carpeting and tile is sketchy. Our family and friends hope to return next year to this gem on the beach - it was very luxurious, convenient and functional.
This 3BR, 2BA condo on the beach offered the location and amenities our family and friends needed for our vacation. The furniture, fixtures, tvs, A/C, windows, and appliances are all in excellent working condition. The property is very clean which is important to us. Having the beach and pool options, so close together was fantastic. The location for access to Sunset Lake marina, viewing the fireworks and proxmity to the beach were very helpful to us.
During the week we had: another family stay for part of the visit, drop in visitors and my son had a friend visit. We peaked at 11 people for dinner one night and 8 sleepers (adults and teenagers). It was not crowded at all. Several of the views from the unit are spectacular: the ocean from the deck, the marina from master BR and BA (yes I appreciate a good view from there!).
We are very familiar with dining options on the island but prefer to cook and eat family style dinners and on the go breakfast and lunches. The kitchen had the right space, excellent appliances and was well maintained (CLEAN) so cooking was convenient and fun. The common area grills were also well maintained and easily accessible. In addition to the list provided, bring some big plastic bowls (chips, salad and pasta), a metal spatula, baking sheet and wine glasses unless they are supplied by the owner next year.
This is not a resort so pool hours are somewhat curtailed so there is no outdoor cocktails late at night, but if that's your thing, just go next door and make friends.
We did encounter minor inconveniences during our stay, but our property manager was always available to assist and support as needed.
7 DAY MINIMUM RENTAL FROM SATURDAY TO SATURDAY DURING PEAK SUMMER SEASON.
No Cleaning Fees during Peak Summer Season. Unit is professionally cleaned prior to each Rental Term. Any additional maintenance/cleaning costs due to damage, excessive wear and tear, or excessive uncleanliness, will be deducted from Deposit.
$175 Cleaning Fee during Off Peak Seasons.
Personal Check accepted if received 3 weeks prior to beginning of Rental Term.
Deposit refunded upon completion of Rental Term, Inspection of Unit, and Receipt of Keys.
Deposit Non-Refundable upon cancellation of Rental Term by Renter.
Unless otherwise agreed, Full Payment must be received within 30 days of Booking Date or no later than 3 weeks prior to onset of Rental Term, whichever is sooner.
