Devo dizer que a nossa casa é muito, muito casa muito bem, com estilo vibrar brilhante, em um bairro seguro e tranquilo! Este é o lugar que você quer para ficar! Caminhar até muitos dos restaurantes de Louisville mais visitados, antigas lojas / brechós, boutique e lojas de café! Esta área é realmente um lugar mágico !!!

A vizinhança

Clifton é um bairro a leste da cidade de Louisville, Kentucky EUA. Clifton foi chamado por causa de sua localização montanhosa na escarpa Ohio River Valley.

Ao contrário de outros bairros Louisville, Clifton foi desenvolvido durante um período de 60 anos, com as primeiras casas construídas na década de 1860 sentado ao lado de casas construídas na década de 1910, embora quase todas as casas foram construídas em estilos vitoriano. Suas áreas residenciais também são muito menos densa do que outras áreas próximas, como Butchertown ou as Highlands originais. Cute! In a fun "hipster" area!

Although we were originally coming in for the Ironman my daughter was participating in, until she suffered a stress fracture in her foot, this turned into a mini vacation for her and her husband, I stayed home in Oklahoma. I was the one interacting through HomeAway and their message system with Tom and Sarah, the owners, they were so kind and accommodating as to get contact information, address, entry into the house information, and all other communication needed for my two to enjoy the house as a quick get-away. The house has been updated, it was clean, and had everything needed for preparing meals, with a grocery nearby. It was within walking distance to the river to watch the start of the Ironman, a couple of miles to the bike transition area, and near downtown to watch some of the Ironman athletes finish, but yet a comfortable walk back to the house in the evening. They enjoyed being in a little “hipster” area, as my daughter called it, going for sushi and ice cream later in the evenings they were there. It was probably best I was not with them, if you have more than two in the house, the only bathroom is off of the small bedroom I would have been in, which I did not realize at the time of booking in March, but by reading a review of someone that had been there later this summer. The tenant that lives upstairs was very nice to my two, but they did say she walked around a lot after midnight, and because of hardwood floors, it’s hard to keep any noise down when someone is overhead, no matter what time of day. Fun stay for my two, if my daughter decides to try and do the Louisville Ironman next year, this would be a house we would consider using again because of the convenience of the house and kindness of the owners.

Hipster Haven met our extended stay needs!

We are an older couple (former Louisvillians) who rented this downstairs apartment for 3 weeks to provide a base of operations for visiting friends and family in and around Louisville, Northern Kentucky and Indiana. The owner was extremely accommodating and responsive to our requests and questions.

I rated this a 3 star, versus 4 star, only because it is in an older home. The apartment has not been completely remodeled, but it has been upgraded from its original condition. It was comfortable for us and functioned well for our 21 night stay.. It was a good "close in" location to downtown and access to southern Indiana. There is off-street parking, which is important, since many old homes in this area do not have garages, and the narrow streets are lined with parked cars at night. There are lots of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby. Even though it is an older neighborhood, we felt it is a safe one.

The apartment was clean and the owner stocked it with supplies well beyond our expectations. Since we were there for an extended stay, this was very much appreciated. I'd suggest not buying any supplies until you see what has been provided. We found the kitchen equipped with not only enough dishes, utensils, cookware, and glasses, but also many spices, dishwashing liquids, and Keurig machine with lots of K-cups provided. There was a variety of flavors, but no decaf k-cups. There is no dishwasher or regular coffee pot. The bathroom has many toiletries supplied, along with a hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Cleaning supplies were also provided, as well as a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. The washer and dryer are in the basement. Be forewarned that the stairs to the basement are steep, but there is a handrail.

The owner has provided lots of books, reading material, and touring information about Louisville and Kentucky in general. The flat screen TV and programming was excellent, as was the free WiFi. The queen bed was comfortable. We only used the small bedroom off the main bedroom for storing items; but if a third person uses the twin bed in that room, be aware that you have to walk through the small bedroom to access the bathroom. The bathroom is a "tight" space, and the kitchen is small; however, there is a separate dining room with a high-top table and four chairs.

Positive Experience

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The apartment was comfortable and clean. The owner was responsive to any questions I sent by e-mail, although we did not meet him. We liked the area and being so close to Frankfort Ave with restaurants and shops. We would stay here again.

Great location, safe neighborhood

I stayed here by myself as a female business traveler for a nearby class. I walked to Frankfort avenue for dinner and felt very safe the entire time. I did not walk around at night but probably would have - it was dark late and I had to be up early. There is a long term tenant upstairs that I barely heard at all. The house is well represented in the photos. I would stay here again!

Charming and comfortable

This was our first experience with VRBO (and Louisville) and we couldn't be happier. First, the location was awesome. I wish we had more time to explore the area because there were tons of cafes and vintage shops (and bars if that's your thing). This unit is on a side street with other well maintained homes.

The unit was exactly as it was represented in the ad. It was clean, well lit, great a/c, comfortable beds and furniture, tasteful decor. Our interaction with Tom, the owner (via text/phone) was timely.

There were a few things that I wasn't prepared for, but they weren't so bad that they would make me give any less than 5 stars: 1) In order to get to the bathroom you had to go through both bedrooms. 2) There is a Keurig machine, not a coffee maker (thank goodness Tom was gracious enough to provide K-cups!). 3) The cookware wasn't in the greatest condition (scratched teflon).

Other than that the place was stocked with shampoo, soap, detergent, paper towels, tea and K-cups. Nice quality bedding and towels.

I would definitely stay here again and fell in love with Louisville, so I hope to get the chance to come back.

Nice, convenient place to stay in Louisville

Great place to stay in Louisville. Stayed here with my father and son over Father's Day weekend, had a great time. The neighborhood is an eclectic art district, with a number of nice shops and restaurants, so meals were easy. Also not too far from downtown. Would stay here again.
