The house is ideally situated at the end of a private road, providing you wonderful quiet and tranquility.
This two story, glass-fronted A-frame has cathedral ceilings and a large open floor plan, including a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast counter. This comfortable vacation home features exceptional amenities including a screened dining porch, upstairs master bedroom screened porch (perfect for reading or napping), a back deck overlooking the pond and front deck with furniture for entertaining and sunbathing. Other amenities include a private H/C outdoor shower, washer/dryer, dishwasher, new gas stove, high speed Internet, filtered well water, cable TV, barbecue, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and toaster oven.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a twin bed and a third with two twins. There is a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs, there is a spacious master bedroom with a queen bed, private porch and large master bath. Quality beds and linens abound.
The greatest advantage of renting a house in Aquinnah is the beaches; breathtaking Philbin, a private (resident/renters only) 3 mile stretch of undeveloped sandy heaven, perfect for body surfing, boogie boarding and surfing; Menemsha Pond Beach, ideal for young children and kayaking or canoeing; West Basin on the Vineyard Sound, great for swimming, fishing and long walks or hikes along the miles of unspoiled beaches.
Martha’s Vineyard is the perfect vacation getaway with bike trails, hiking and riding trails, boating, fishing, golf courses, farmer’s markets, movie theaters, top restaurants, and shopping. Great bus transportation back and forth from Aquinnah to all the towns (perfect for teens!). This house is only rented a couple of weeks each summer, when the family can’t get to the island.
