Mais do que o seu aluguer de média! Recentemente remodelado, familiar, espaçosa casa acomoda até 12 pessoas. Bairro calmo à beira do lago tem acesso a muitos parques privados beira do lago, campos de golfe, frisbee golfe, piscina, e rampas de barco para Lake Travis. quintal sombreado bonita tem Koi lagoa, caixa de areia, balanço e está cercada. Pequenos animais de estimação bem comportados são permitidos, nadar no lago apenas, não o lago! Dormir é andar de baixo 2 quartos com cama queen e duas camas individuais, uma sala no andar de cima com uma rainha e 2 twins, um um rodízio, no outro quarto no andar de cima. Há também um tamanho grande sofá-cama na sala de estar. Um banho de Jack and Jill compartilhada pelos dois quartos no térreo e um banheiro no andar de cima.
A lovely house near Lake Travis with the most remarkable back yard, perfect for sitting with a glass of wine and enjoying a conversation. (I wish that was what it did, but instead I had 8 teenage girls with me.) Everyone had a great time in this lovely house. I have rented homes for the week-end many times. This was probably the most pleasant. Kitchen could use more cooking utensils, but great stove. And yes, if any food is left out, the sugar ants come in, so just don't leave food on the counters. I real bonus was the ability to text the owner direct about any questions about how something worked. This is not what I usually see with a week-end rental.
We would definitely rent again.
This was a complete mess.
The description of the bedrooms were completely false. "Each bedroom sleeps 2-3 people with queen beds and twins." That is completely false. 3 bedrooms have queen beds that are easily over 10 years old, the springs pop out everywhere. The 4th bedroom is just two single beds. There were 2 pull out mattress with no frame for height off the ground, nor were there sheets for the beds? This house comfortably slept 8-10 people, and that's including a sofa bed, which was also way past sell by date, with no blankets/covers to make up the bed.
Then there was the problem of the ant infestation. When I contacted the owners they tried to place the blame on our party. There were ants everywhere. Bedrooms, bathrooms, everywhere. Everyone got bitten several times.
The real kicker of this place was the 'lake house' appeal. It advertised in their description as "Quiet lakefront neighborhood has access to many private lakeside parks, golf courses, Frisbee golf, pool, and boat ramps to Lake Travis." This would of been perfect had we actually had access. We drove our cars to the private neighborhood lake access and were immediately kicked out by the park ranger who said that the printed out parking passes, that anyone could have made, were not sufficient and a sticker was required. The park ranger even expressed her own opinion that she thought we should say something to the owners because it "just wasn't right".
We also paid a cleaning deposit which is understandably standard on house rental websites. If we're paying for a cleaning fee, I for one expect a clean house. There was dust and spiderwebs in places, it looked as though it hadn't had a thorough clean for a while.
Under their general and kitchen description they say that things such as linens and trash bags will be provided. They provided one trash bag. For 12 people for 3 days...and they wonder why they have an ant problem.
"Fitness Room / Equipment: Garage has a universal machine and a variety of free weights." I guess this works for people who don't mind rusty old gym equipment that looks like it may collapse at the slightest of touches.
Take my review as you will, I just want to let people know of our experience when we stayed at this house.
This is a recently remodeled home near Lake Travis; it was very clean and has been decorated well with Texan themes which I really liked. The backyard is truly an oasis in the hill country; very shady and even cool in the mornings. We enjoyed coffee on the porch while watching all the birds and squirrels flit around. Very nice yard and deck and comfortable chairs and no home behind the yard so there's privacy. The home is located in a neighborhood, and is a short drive to the boat launch and Lago Vista parks. This part of Lake Travis is less busy, with a pretty shoreline. We boated everyday, and despite the heat we had a great time. The owners were great to work with; very helpful with suggestions about the area and always available by phone. We only wish Lago Vista would provide a short-term boat slip so we wouldn't have to reload the boat everyday, but we did get pretty good at it! Thanks Nancy and Kent!
My family really, really enjoyed the stay. The original plan was to rent hotel rooms for each of the 4 families, but I found this place at a better price than the hotel rooms. We all were able to cook and eat together, play cards together, and spend time together. We would definitely do this again. The owners are very thoughtful and provided a clean house with plenty of amenities. It's an excellent place to relax and enjoy the family.
Our stay at this home was great. Although we were there for a wedding, (which is always hectic!), when we were at that house we were comfortable. Everything we needed was there. We were not able to find extra trashbags, but other than that, the house accommodated everything we needed.
Lago Vista é uma comunidade tranquila longe o suficiente de o aborrecimento de trânsito, multidões de pessoas, e pressa, mas perto o suficiente para chegar a isso em apenas 15 minutos. Lago tem vários restaurantes exclusivos com excelente comida, música local, arte, atividades ao ar livre e eventos locais, bem como todas as necessidades aqui mesmo conveniente e sem esperar!
