Just returned from.my bachelor party and this place was absolutely perfect. Thanks for everything!
Came to San Juan for a bachelor party and this house was everything we could have hoped for! Despite there being 12 of us, there was plenty of space to relax and stretch out, so at no point did it ever feel like we were cramped or crowded on top of each other. The outside area was perfect! Lots of places to sit and relax, a nice wet bar, and a large table to eat. The basketball court was a nice addition to the ping pong and pool table. The only time I ever wanted to be inside was to shower and sleep haha. Speaking of which, the shower in the master bedroom is the best in the house, as the others tended to be on the cool side with not as much pressure.
In general, the location was solid and walking distance to the beach, a pharmacy, and a few places to eat. Everything else was an easy Uber away. We took advantage of the private chef that Jorge recommended, and that made our experience more relaxed and memorable. Between Jorge and the private chef, everything we needed was taken care of. Coordinating for a group of 12 adults can be difficult, but thanks in large part to this great house, everything went without a hitch! Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed the home. Mr.Jores was very nice and very helpful and did whatever he was was asked. With his daughter in the hospital he still was very attentive. Our family really enjoyed the vacation and the house was so beautiful and exactly what we needed and what we was accustomed to.
We had a a Great time and loved it all!!! Thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house was very pretty and the outdoor living space was lovely and where we spent the majority of our time,
This home was a wonderful oasis for our stay in San Juan. We spent most of the days playing in the pool, lounging outside, and watching the kids play on the swingset. It had everything you would want from a rental. A well-stocked kitchen, laundry with detergent, soap/shampoo, towels, beach supplies, glassware, grill. etc.
TIP -- if you have a car drive to the beach right in front of Parque Barbosa. There was ample parking in the morning and you can simply walk out onto the beach. We had slighter older grandparents with us, who didn't want to walk much. The waves were big and made swimming hard, but it was a 3 minute drive and easier than trying to find an "in" to the beach in Isla Verde. The kids loved jumping the waves and digging in the sand. The distance to walk to the nearest beach was about 5-10 minutes for us (but still only a few blocks).
San Juan is in very good shape after the hurricane. GO! Spend your tourist dollars and help them out. We were there with a range of people from 18 months to 80 years old and had no concerns. The street lights were out, but if you've ever driven in PR, you know that everyone kind of drives a little crazy anyway--and since we are from Boston it was nothing to us. The food was excellent. Try "Cut" across the street from the rental. They sell amazing prime beef, perfect on the grill. On Saturday they had a fun little BBQ and a party. It was quite hip and happening. We also ate at Lot 23, Oceano (such an amazing view!), Ola Bistro at the Vanderbilt (also a great view and protected from the rain), and a few places in Old San Juan. Overall, it was an amazing trip. A note--the neighborhood right around the rental can be a bit rough, but it didn't bother us. It's a mixed area with big nice home and some public housing, too. Most of San Juan is that way, and inside the rental we always felt perfectly relaxed and safe.
The house offered plenty of space for the entire family and lots of bells and whistles; pool, patio, ping pong, pool table, play set and basketball hoop. The young ones in our group had a great time in the backyard and we ate on the patio most nights.
The beds were extremely comfortable. Had wonderful restful nights.
A few cons:
We cooked most nights and ate at the house. The kitchen has nice appliances but the kitchen lacks some basic essentials.
Things like paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags are not readily available in the house when they need replenishing. They are locked in a closet and when Jorge came he gave us more when we asked for them. We ended up going to other bathrooms for more toilet paper when needed. This was frustrating. On our last day we ran out of garbage bags and found plastic bags from our store purchases that we used instead. These items should all be readily available on the main floor and not locked up.
We have travelled extensively and used VRBO and Air B&B many times. We splurged and spent the most on this house. While the house is large with many fun things to do, some essentials were lacking or of poor quality.
For those folks thinking of traveling to Puerto Rico post hurricane Maria, please do. The people of Puerto Rico are lovely, welcoming people. Tourism is down and in order for their recovery, they need us to visit. It is a beautiful place and for the most part, things are recovering nicely. Power was available in most areas in SAN Juan. (The semifores at the intersections were not working in many areas). All in all, our family had a wonderful trip.
