The entry was seamless (Michael gave us the door code and a key was waiting under the mat).
The apartment was as tastefully decorated as pictured (minus the ironing board which we actually could have used this time) with lots of room and high ceilings.
It's also on the ground floor which we knew but since it's right by the front entrance, the neighbors who left the building around midnight then stood talking by the bedroom window were definitely disturbing.
The living room is a corner space with double windows and sheer curtains - very pretty but with the lights on at night you are visible to passersby. The bedroom has slightly more opaque curtains but I wasn't confident that they were thick enough to keep people from seeing in so I made sure to change in the bathroom each night. Not really a big deal but something to be aware of if you don't want to inadvertently give the street a show! We enjoyed the autonomy of ''our'' own cool space however so would definitely recommend it.
My wife and I stayed one night in this charming historic apartment on a recent road trip. It is located a block from Rittenhouse Square in a very cool area of the city. The apartment was clean and bright, with many windows and high ceilings. We would have appreciated having a coffee maker, although we did learn how to make coffee on the stovetop! Two bath towels were provided for the two of us, so having a couple of extra towels and a washcloth or two would have been nice. Parking is problematic, but we found a parking deck for $25/day a few blocks from the apartment on 18th and South Streets. All in all, a cool place in a cool town!
We stayed here while moving our son into UPenn and enjoyed our stay. It's convenient to UPenn and Drexel as well as walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with people walking throughout the day and evening. If you can avoid bringing a car, please do so as parking in Philadelphia is expensive and inconvenient. Walking is your best bet regardless of where you stay and if you need to go a little further, Uber has a substantial presence. Overall a great place where we would stay again and recommend to our friends.
Like the photo Mike Price's property is clean, neat and spacious with every amenity. It is also a perfect location
for walking to fine restaurants, galleries, museums and shops.
I highly recommend this ideal vacation spot.
My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in June 2016. Place was clean when we arrived and stocked with hand soap, bath towels, toilet paper and paper towels. Bed and couch were both comfortable. It is walking distance to restaraunts and attractions. Cable box was not hooked up to the TV but it wasn't difficult for us to figure out. Overall, a great stay that we really enjoyed!
We also recommend taking a night stroll through the neighborhood. One street around the corner (Addison Street) was lined with trees that were beautifully lit up with no street parking.
