The layout is perfect for multiple guests and/or families. Clean and convenient, with separate cool space for kids to hang out. Plenty of room with a rockin' fireplace. We would totally rent again. Thanks!
This recently remodeled condo was perfect for our ski weekend. The location is short walk to Stratton village and the lifts. The bedrooms were well appointed and everyone was very comfortable. Having upper and lower floor living area was a plus for our group. Great for either a large family or two families to use together.
Owner was very easy to work with and the entire process from start to finish was very smooth. We will definitely rent again.
This is a beautifully appointed condo in a great location, central to all Stratton Mountain activities. The bathrooms and kitchen have been recently renovated and tastefully so. Everything you need for your vacation is in the condo right down to Dove soap in every bathroom. The available parking spots are very convenient, and trash removal is easy. There is great view of the mountain from multiple sliders on the first level and a very comfortable balcony for the warm weather.
There are a few helpful suggestions if you are considering renting this property. Prior to finalizing the rental, be sure to ask about the Security Deposit and Cleaning Fee and how they are to be refunded and/or paid. If you are not familiar with Stratton Mountain, you may want to ask for detailed directions on how to find the condo upon your arrival (the directions assume that you are familiar with the complex). You will have to negotiate a tight, spiral staircase to access the second floor that includes bedrooms 3 and 4 and third bathroom (stairs are not shown on the website pictures). If you rent the property at any time other than winter, be sure to bring a few fans as the upstairs gets quite hot (there are two skylights, no windows). The advertised fourth bedroom on the upper level is very small and has no windows or skylights (this room is not shown on the website for the property).
The living room is equipped with a large screen television and you can connect to a Sonos sound system through a cell phone. The off season (when we rented) offers a most reasonable rate. A bottle of wine awaits your arrival.
If the old adage, "It's all about location, location, location", were true, then any condo on this spot would be ideal, but this home is exemplary even without its model locale.
We were more than comfortable with six adults and three kids (ages 8, 5, and 1). My sister's family slept in the two loft bedrooms, and the kids went to bed without being bothered by any of us staying-up in the palatial kitchen and living room. In the morning, we all awoke to find stunning views of Stratton Mountain peering back at us. Although the snow this year was sparse, the mountain managed to add enough man-made snow that we didn't notice.
The condo has a nice balcony with a gas grill overlooking the Villager Lift. It's about 50 yards from the condo's exit to the lift, and we used the left exit facing the mountain on the 2nd floor. We also had two adults who weren't skiing, but they spent their days lounging in the spa (about a 4-minute walk) or grabbing a drink in the Village. At night, we'd all stroll to the Village for Après-Ski. It's about a 3-minute walk to the Fire Tower Restaurant, which is right at the end of the Village. From there, everything that the Village had to offer was at our finger-tips.
The health-club is about a 3-minute drive from the condo, but there's an even shorter walking path at the far end of the adjacent Parking Lot 1. We rarely drove anywhere during our entire week.
The owner was amenable and friendly, and he took more than enough time to explain the condo's various features to me.
As a family, we have stayed at condos on Sugarloaf, Okemo, Loon, and many other New England resorts. By far, this was the best location for the entire family. We will definitely be staying here again.
