We truly enjoyed our stay at this cute NYC apartment. Katia was gracious and accomodating. The neighborhood felt safe, was centrally located, and had good local shopping and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and for a 1 bedroom, it had plenty of space. Overall, I would recommend this property and I appreciated the excellent customer service.
Owner: Katia was very easy to deal with - quick responses to all my e-mails and requests, and she also graciously allowed early check-in and late check-out that we were very appreciative of, as our flight from Vancouver arrived very early and left back very late, so we were not sure what to do with our suitcases. It's very important to have a responsible owner that you can rely on in a new and unknown city.
Apartment: it was very clean and nice, lots of natural light, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen had gas stove, microwave and coffee-maker, pans and pots and enough plates + cutlery. Bathroom had lots of space for all the toiletries in a mirror cabinet and on the shelves, blow-dryer. Water pressure was OK, and hot water was always available. The best feature of this apt that it has air conditioners in both rooms, that really helped when it was +31C (88F) outside.
The area is very quiet (by "quiet" I mean "New York quiet" = you still hear noise from the street traffic, but it starts only at 7 am): there are no night clubs close by or heavy trucks passing, so it's very quiet at night.
The nearest subway station is 15 minutes walk away, and you can walk to Central Park or Madison Ave (takes about 30 minutes or so)
The bed was not very comfortable, but was OK (the mattress was too soft for our liking, but everybody's preferences are different).
There is no cable TV, just Netflix, which you have to pay for, so we never used TV, which was a good break from our daily routine at home, thank you Katia!
The apartment is on the 3rd floor (no elevator), but it was fine even for me (over 50 years old and not at all physically fit).
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this apt to anyone who visits New York.
My wife, mother-in-law and I really enjoyed this place. The apartment is very comfortable, it has everything one would need and it is close to many stores. Katia was very easy to communicate with and responded fast to our emails and texts. I would highly recommend this place.
A wonderfully cozy apartment in a vibrant neighbourhood close to restaurants, museums, the park. The apartment was on the third floor of a walk up. It was clean and well-kept, and the owner made us feel very welcome and comfortable. She recommended great places to shop nearby and how to get around. With a few updates (microwave, a kettle, bedding) this would be a 5-star rental. We were very happy with our stay and would choose this apartment again.
Great location, easy access to subway and lots of good restaurants to choose from. Quiet and calm neighborhood, but the apartment definitely needs some update, it is very nice and clean as pictured although check in wasn't very easy. It was scheduled for 4 pm there was nobody there to greet us, tried calling/texting multiple times without any response. 20 mins later he showed up and told us he still had to clean the apartment, leaving us at the side walk with our luggage. When finished he was very friendly and proceeded to show us around the apartment. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the couch in the living room is uncomfortable and stained, a/c works great, the bed could use replacing, the matress was only comfortable once we moved it to the floor! The bathroom was very clean only issue was waiting 7 minutes for hot water to turn on for a short period of hot water usage. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with just a few updates this place would be amazing!

Clean, comfortable, convenient & reasonably priced apartment in upper east side. We had a wonderful week in NYC. We walked to Central Park & Museums, (10-15 minutes). Great restaurants close by, so many to choose from. Subway just blocks away, to get to Chelsea & the Village! Easy & prompt communication with the owner. We would definitely stay here again!
