Overall I was very satisfied with my decision to rent this apartment in Condado, San Juan. I stayed for 7 nights and it was much more cost effective and comfortable than staying in a hotel. The apartment was consistent with how I anticipated it to be based on the description and the photos. It is conveniently located in the heart of Condado. The beach is literally minutes from the apartment and there are various restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets in the area. The airport is a 10-15 min taxi ride away.
The apartment was clean, tidy and well-organized. It is complete with all necessary utensils if you are planning to cook. There are ample towels and bedding materials. The Wi-Fi worked fine. I also utilized the gym (second floor) and pool (first floor). Cable TV has heaps of channels if you plan to stay in at any point. One of the things I most liked about this apartment is the fact that it's located within a secure building with 24 hour security. You need a key ring (with provides electronic access) to gain entry to the building and the elevator area. There is always someone at the front desk so I felt safe/secure which is important.
Aida was very responsive and pleasant in her communications with me which was reassuring. A few days before I arrived there was a major blackout in Puerto Rico that impacted the entire island. Aida notified me about this in advance so I knew ahead of time that there may be some complications when I arrived. Luckily enough the power to the building was restored the night before I arrived. The blackout had, unbeknown to anyone, caused damage to the air-conditioner system in the apartment but once I notified Aida of this issue she promptly arranged for the machine to be fixed and thereafter the air-con worked fine.
I recommend this apartment to those who don't expect perfection but who have reasonable standards in regards to cleanliness, safety and convenience and who require/appreciate responsive communication with the owner from whom they are renting. I would definitely stay there again if I was to visit San Juan.
Great location!! Restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, hotels & casinos in a walking distance! I went for a specific event and to visit family and friends so, I did not mind at all that it is small... went just to sleep and have fun! Reserved parking spot in the garage... GREAT! By the way, NO mosquitoes or any bugs. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed.
The building is in an upscale neighborhood and very nice and safe. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance and a small high end grocery store next door. The apartment is exactly as pictured. It's small but very comfortable. It was just right for 2 people. Aida was easy to work with. I'd recommend her place to anyone wanting to stay in the Condado neighborhood. Also having a parking spot in the garage was a huge advantage. Parking in this neighborhood is not easy. Also you will get some street noise so bring ear plugs (a few cars going by with super loud music late at night and the back up beeping of large trucks) but that will go for anywhere on a main street, not just this location.
Centrally located in the trendiest neighborhood on the island, this condo was the perfect home base for our 10-day trip to Puerto Rico. It's a small space, sure, but it came with everything we needed. It's location cannot be beat. A 5-minute walk from the beach (which can be seen from the balcony), a grocery store right downstairs, restaurants everywhere, a 15-minute drive from Old San Juan, and a short walk away from Santurce. It also came with a parking spot, which was a huge benefit as we visited many areas of the island and needed our own transportation. The staff at the building is very helpful - they even came knocking when another resident noticed our car lights were on in the garage. The owner was very responsive to our questions and provided wonderful advice when asked. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for a couple. It might be tight for four people, but it's certainly manageable. I give this place 10 stars out of 10 for price, convenience, cleanliness, everything.
We had a wonderful time in this apartment. The location in Condado couldn't be better and the partial oceanview from the patio was perfect for an evening glass of wine. I went for a week with my parents and we spent days at the pool and exploring what San Juan had to offer. The unit was clean and had everything you could need! I would recommend this unit to anyone.
Aida was very helpful. We had an issue with payment due to homeaway not accepting amex but we were able to make other arrangements. She made sure the condo was ready for us when we arrived even though it was tight due to someone checking out late the day before. The condo was lovely and ready although there was no toilet paper when we arrived. Fortunately there were a couple of stores about five minutes away. So and all we were pleased and would stay again.
