This was a lovely home in the country but very close to anything we might need. We booked for three generations under one roof and really enjoyed the property. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of common space to hang out together. I have no complaints. It is not the Ritz, no fancy countertops and designer linens, but it was picturesque, comfortable and easy. I'd totally recommend staying here for a little comfort away from home.
We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to the farmhouse and saw the house and the gardens. There were beautiful flowerbeds and vegetable gardens. Our girls enjoyed the goats, chickens, and rabbits immensely. The house has so much character, especially in the original section with the finished wooden floors and walls.
It has all the amenities of home, including a washer, dryer, and a full kitchen....all much appreciated when traveling with kids! The house was well located between Elizabethton and Jonesborough. We were in town for the National Storytelling Festival and took side trips to see the Elizabethton covered bridge and even attended Mass in Johnson City.
What we enjoyed most about the house was the front and back porches. It was so peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of nature! It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Randy, and we thank him for letting us enjoy some fresh eggplant, lettuce, and bell pepper from the garden. It was delicious! He has a hidden gem in this property and it was such a joy to stay here for seven glorious days. A peaceful home away from our true Louisiana home!
A farmhouse tucked away from it all, but really not too far from anything. It's exactly as advertised and perfect for our family of 4 for a great Labor Day weekend. Of the different vrbo / airbnb places we have stayed, my wife says this was her favorite. My kids loved the swing, the chickens, and the bow and arrow. Would definitely stay here again.
Us four Nascar fans came down to the area from Chicago, because, well, It's Bristol, Baby!...
Very nice, quiet, somewhat secluded area located not far from BMS worked out well for us as we also spent time in Johnson City.
The farmhouse was very accommodating... bring your clothes and some food and you are set! Everything else, including the BBQ grill, is there. (we did peruse/violate the large gardens to create a couple table decorations)
There's plenty of room for all as the kitchen and bath are roomy. (plenty of towels too!)
As city folks, the farm animals were fun to watch. (not sure how Randy would have felt if he found turkey leftovers in the fridge - we like to eat, ALOT...)
The place honestly is a home away from home and we'd definitely come back in the future.
Had a great stay in TN. House was perfect for our Family. So close to our Son's family. The children loved the animals and the front swing. Thanks so much for sharing your place with us Diane
We enjoyed our stay on this little farm, it was quiet, quaint and very clean. It was out in the country but not too far and it was great to hear the roosters and goats. We were able to do day trips To Roan Mountain, Bristol Speedway, Grandfather Mountain in NC, Cherokee National Forest, White Top Mountain in Virginia and Grayson Heights In Virginia while we were staying there.
