But we must tell you that it was very dirty in the house. We start with cleaning the whole house.

My husband and I booked this property about a month ago for our annual family summer vacation. Initial contact with the owner was pleasant and we were excited about our stay. Upon our arrival, the home was in less than desirable condition. The carpets were soiled and there was a foul odor coming from the kitchen. The tv in the main sitting area was not working and the couch was old and dirty. Upon further inspection, we noted numerous areas in need of repair and a lack of basic home maintenance. Garbage was piled up outside and it was obvious the house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. I immediately contacted the owner who was apologetic and blamed the management company. He told me he would contact managment and have them come by to clean. An hour later, a young guy came by, initially not even sure why he was called out. He said he was told by the owner there was a problem with the front door. We clued him in as to why he was called out, he told us he just got back from vacation and someone else was supposed to have cleaned the home. We pointed out the areas of the home that were unkept and he shared with us that numerous other renters had made complaints but that the owner did not want to spend the money to fix the home. We took pictures of the current state of the home to not be liable for any of the damages and also to compare them to the pics depicted on the website, however when we tried to pull up the home on VRBO, the home was no longer viewable. When I asked the owner about that, he said he is no longer advertising with VRBO because it is too expensive. My feeling is once he knew of our dissatisfaction, he didn't want their to be proof of his false advertisement. At the end of the day, we tried to make the best of our vacation and be in the home as little as possible. We were told by management the night before our departure, that the home was being shut down for 10 days so the necessary overdue maintenance and repairs could be performed. Hopefully no one else will have the experience now that we had.
I'm not a person to leave reviews but this was my exception. I hate complaining but hopefully I can try to save someone else's family's headache and vacation.
We got to the house and it was a disaster. There were bugs and food all over the counter, floors were dirty and carpets weren't even vacuumed(very dirty). Linen wasn't washed and you could tell the "house keeping" just pulled the blankets up leaving the sheets bunched in the middle of the bed. Toilette had streaks in it and bathroom mirrors weren't cleaned. Did I mention dead roaches and other bugs all throughout the house?! The house keeping lady said all she could do was vacuum the stairs and wipe the countertops and she wasn't happy she had to come back because she was almost home. The screened in pool isn't very screened in because there's quite a few of them missing. The pool was so filled with dirt we had to wait till the pool guys came to clean it up which was the next day! Pool lights or patio lights didn't work so we had to put bulbs in. AC tube was clogged so it leaked downstairs all over my brothers luggage and we had to once again wash his bed spread. The day I arrived at the property I told the owner his management was failing him. If management wants to call my bluff on this post....so be it... I have pictures of everything I just posted. The house has potential and I don't think jimmy knows what's going on as far as him management running his investments in to the ground.
So in summary. If you want to go on vacation, don't go here! You will end up doing more work to this house that what you would have if you just stayed home. I would look in to another property which there are plenty in Davenport

The house is stunning.we arrived and saw it was exactly like the pics.clean. and really spacious.
The outdoor pool was fabulous.the kids loves it.
The pool area is lovely and clean .
The playroom is great too.
The bedrooms are beautiful and have stunning bedding.
The bathrooms were also very nice and clean.

Wow there is so much i can say about this home and management owner. Please you looking for nice home This Not It!!!!. So many things wrong and everyone is blaming others for the problems with this house. After speaking with the owner about these problems , Now I have been watching this home for while after i book it. To make sure that I wouldn't run into any surprises. And spoke with owner about reviews that I saw previous before i came. And he insure me that all these things were fix. Big Big Lieeeeeee.
And after my trip there I took as and insulting because he stated that . I should expect to see and have a vacation home like this and the conditions, because its a short term listing . What????? I have never stay in home like this in my Life. He really truly dont care because if he renting this or 1 like this im more than certainly he would have complain or request money back. He probably would have took them to court. He offered my a $100 back in order for me to not never to do a Review on his home because I have the proff in the pudding.
Please follow up before you rent this home or any please go and visit the house if you can with there premisson first from the owner. So you won't have this problems , Home away should should start doing something about this complaints and we as the consumers We have rights as well. Im not going to lie and covered up this for a refund of $100 when you paid almost $1200 that is a slap in the face. Thanks for the best vacation I every had Lol....
