Beach: Use any set of stairs in the back and follow the path to the wooden walkway to the beach. The security gate code will be provided when full payment is received. You may also drive your car onto the beach. There are entrances off A1A both to the north and the south. During the summer months the town charges a small fee for this convenience. The footpath (private beach access for Quail Hollow residents) is free for the duration of your stay. Riot Act: We want to make this perfectly clear - this is a quiet, family type complex. If you are the loud partying type, this is definitely not the place for you. There is on site management and a very active homeowners association who will report if there are more than six people in the unit, loud parties, or any other disturbances. No pets are allowed in the rental units. If any of the rules are broken, you will be removed from the unit and will forfeit the rental payment. Parking: There is a designated spot for one car in the front of the complex. You may pull your car around to unload and then park in front of the sign that says “A6-3D” (it faces the road and is just about even with the walkway back to the unit). At your earliest convenience, please stop by the office and request a parking permit. Toiletries/Soaps/etc: The condo usually has toilet paper, washing machine soap, dishwasher detergent, etc. that is left over from previous tenants. However, we do NOT guarantee that all items will be provided. You may need to purchase some of these items at local stores. Linens: There is an ample supply of sheets, pillows, bath and beach towels. If you have time before you leave, please run the first load of sheets (king sized) in the wash to help out Karen, the cleaning person. (She baby sits during the week and then cleans on the weekends – God bless her!) Games/Toys: Feel free to use the games/toys/books/puzzles left in the condo. This includes the water toys and boogie boards. Please dry water toys before putting them away, or leave them in the sink. We replace these things as we can – you might want to bring some just in case the supply is low. Grocery Store: There is a Publix grocery store north on A1A (take a right out of the parking lot). It’s located a few miles down in a strip mall on the right. Also there is a Winn Dixie on the left. Video Store: There is a DVD player in the condo. Golf Courses: Royal St. Augustine, St. John's County 27 hole public course, St. Augustine Shores, Ponce de Leon Golf course, Slammer & Squire, King & the Bear, and there are six more in Palm Coast which is approx. 20 min. south. For more details click on the “Golf Courses” hypertext and go to “First Coast”. Restaurants: Nice Dining: For great steak and all around food at Conrad's Steakhouse. Here is the link: http://www.conradssteakhouse.com/ Casual Dining: Our favorite casual restaurant is the South Beach Grill ask to sit upstairs for the ocean view, great food and service. You can walk up the beach to get there (keep the ocean on your left!) or drive south on A1A (take a left) and it’s about ¼ mile on the left. A wonderful breakfast and lunch place is Green Streets, go north on A1A (take a right) and it’s about 1 mile up on the left. Or if you are on St.George Street, try The Bunnery. Very casual and the food is usually great. Fast Food/Chains: On Rte 1 off Rte 312 there is Applebees, TGIF’s, Quincy’s, KFC/Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A, and about a half a dozen other chain eateries. Pizza and Subs: For subs and pizza Tonyolas is north a ¼ mile on the left, look for the bright yellow Volkswagon bug parked out front. We also love Larry’s Giant Subs on A1A. Cici’s Pizza buffet is a great value that the kids seem to really enjoy. Ice Cream: For ice cream, we are torn between two favorites: Beach Street (north on A1A on left) or the Marble Slab Creamery (in the Publix strip mall). Seafood: For great seafood go to the Conch House or Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille. For fried shrimp, Osteens is the place (be prepared to wait though). Italian: LaStrada Italian Restaurant is delicious! Or try our favorite Jacksonville eatery: Buca di Beppo’s (www.bucadibeppo.com) huge “family style” portions and loads of fun. Ask for the kitchen table… French: For French cuisine (they also have German food) Le Pavillion is an excellent choice. Spanish/Cuban/Mexican: In the mood for Spanish cuisine visit Columbia Restaurant located in the heart of George St. Very lovely and romantic. Acupulco is a much less expensive alternative with good Mexican food. It’s right across from the Castillo de San Marco. Eclectic/International: The Raintree Restaurant located in a beautiful old Victorian house, Gypsy Cab Co. for “urban cuisine” or a third choice is the Florida Cracker Café.

overall a verry nice stay, clean large condo and the price was about what you would pay for a motel on the beach. distance from beach was further than expected but property was better than expected for this price range. have to walk aprox quarter mile to beach through the condo complex... /large nice 2 bed condo with good amenities... good deal for the money
Thanks for the review. The walk is not the distance referenced in the review. The condo is approximately 3 minute walk to the beach. Here is a video that has the walk from the condo to the beach:
Great condo at a very affordable rate!
This was a wonderful condo for our family of four. We were close to the pool and the beach was a short 5 minute walk. We were spending about half of our time in St. Augustine and that was only a 20 min drive away. Enjoyed our stay!
Perfect location for beach, pool, St Augustine and travel our other destinations.
Devin's well documented instructions for directions, code entry, parking space etc. were a great help, especially since we arrived much later then we planned. The condo was a welcome relief after many hours on the road. The beds were so inviting and comfortable. Our family of five had plenty of space and were pleased to have two full bathrooms to share. The new kitchen cupboards and counters were well appointed with everything we needed and easy to locate, including plastic storage and bags for leftovers while there. It was also great having the washer/dryer which we used frequently. My one suggestion for Devin is to put all instructions for appliances in a binder in the tall kitchen pantry cupboard where anyone (especially SHORT people) can see them. ☺️
We love the beach but, unfortunately a bit too windy the days we had on it. However, the pool was very enjoyable with plenty of lounge chairs etc. to relax in. It was great for a home base since we did travel to Cocoa Beach and Universal and still were back at the condo at the end of our day.
The condo is well located between the parking space, the pool and the beach. It is very quiet and the grounds are full of flowering plants. We especially liked al the beautiful hibiscus blossoms.
Our trip initially was only going to be three then up to six and ended up with five due to changes in schedules. Devin was very good about accommodating our changes. He even made an earlier offer for our arrival which was gracious of him. He kept in touch to be sure all was ok for our stay. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely plan to stay there again. Thank you Devin for sharing your condo!
Clean.Neat. Electric not at current code standards. Not a good choice for folks with knee issues as toilets are very low. Good pool access.
Great St Augustine
This was our first visit to the Beach, we had visited St Augustine already, but this time was really enjoyable and we were able to visit many Historical sites and discover the
town history and live. Our stay at the rental was OK, very nice beach though a bit cold for us, very wavy but still we had a very good time. We have other places to visit and discover on our next time visit.
The property was great for a family with younger children. The walk to the beach was tougher than expected. But overall a great experience.
