The 2 bedroom, 1 bath house (converted into a duplex) serves as a quaint bohemian retreat with stunning hillside views, great decks, large yard, and a firepit. Fully furnished with a remodeled kitchen and remodeled bathroom (double sinks). Dining room, living room with 42" high definition plasma TV, and laundry room. One bedroom has a Queen bed, 38" TV, and has French doors that open up onto a private deck. The other bedroom has a day bed, with trundle that could easily be turned into a queen bed as well. The 2nd bedroom also has a desk and a big, beautiful bay window that looks out to the mountains and over the terraced garden. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room, and queen air mattress should you need to accommodate more people. House has direct TV, wireless internet, linen and towels included and utilities paid. Garage parking is available (if requested) for one compact car
on very quiet, private street.
Touted as Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path, park and hikeable hills), a large dog park and the famous music venue - Spaceland - all within walking distance. 5 minutes away from metro lines (Vermont), Echo Park, Atwater Village, 10 minutes to Los Angeles' historical downtown, museums, Dodger Stadium, Los Feliz, Griffith Park/equestrian trails/tennis/hiking; 15 mins. to Staples Center, Hollywood, Glendale, Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Burbank, Union Station (train station); 20 minutes to West Hollywood, Beverly Hills; 25 minutes to the beach in Santa Monica or Venice; 40 mins. to Disneyland; Close to 5, 101, 2 and 134 freeways.
Love Silver Lake location, close to restaurants & excellent coffee houses. Big 2 bedroom with kitchen and living room and balcony view of the hills.
This home provided us a wonderful base for visiting our son who lives almost across the street in Silverlake.
The home was well appointed with a lovely outdoor seating area. The property manager was very pleasant and responsive to all requests. Parking right out front. We'd stay there again.
The house and location were just as great as we remembered from our visit two years ago. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the week - and we especially enjoyed the amazing outdoor space! The location can't be beat. There are really good restaurant and coffee (love LAMill and Milk) choices in the neighborhood - and it's easy to explore LA from here. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at this house and loved the owner's eclectic taste in furnishings. Fabulous deck, welcoming gift of nice wine, lots of supplies in the house. (One tiny quibble, there is no table or reading lamp on one side of the queen bed in the bedroom). Highly recommended. We'd definitely go back.
The place was clean and really nice. There were large upper outdoor decks where we ate dinner with a view. It felt very private. The living room was big. All the appliances, wifi, and television worked great. It was great having our own place in such a cool neighborhood.
My parents, both in their 70s, stayed here for a week. I live one street over so the close proximity was a bonus. They enjoyed the convenience of the reservoir and meadow, as well as the shops and restaurants near by. The bathroom lacked window treatments and there were only two water glasses - the only major issues. Overall the place was comfortable. They will definitely will want to stay here again on a return visit.
