Misrepresented-would not go back

This property was not at all what we were expecting. The house in general was in poor condition starting with the front walk which was cracked & buckled & a major tripping hazard. The dishwasher didn't work, the bathrooms were old with cracked tile, especially the lower level enclosed shower which had no light. It was like showering in a cave. The lighting throughout the property was insufficient. The carpet was dirty and the floor was as buckled as the front walk. The mattress in one room was a big pile of lumps and the futon was like sleeping on rocks. The driveway was very steep and the neighborhood was not the best. Overall extremely disappointed- we left a day early.

The photos represent the property EXACTLY as it was when this multi-family group arrived. We are perplexed in trying to understand why it did not your expectations. Our Greenville home has many awesome attributes -- including large spaces for fun gatherings in a clean, comfortable environment, a well-stocked kitchen, quality linens and towels, complimentary internet, over 100 TV stations, a large private deck and backyard, Gas Grill and more perfect for groups and family gatherings! The front walkway is lighted and the neighborhood is well-established and the crime rate is practically ZERO! Our home is professionally cleaned after each guest and we use ZERO REZ carpet cleaning service regularly. I personally checked the property 2 days before your check-in. The carpet was spotless. The kitchen was remodeled in 2015. The dishwasher is digital and can be confusing to start. We'll make sure to better communicate how to operate it to future guests. This 4 bedroom home easily accommodates 10+ guests comfortably and we are constantly making improvements. If you're looking for a NEW home without any cracks or flaws -- this home is not for you. However, if you need a Clean home for a group of 4 or more close to downtown Greenville, convenient to Clemson, in a quiet, safe neighborhood, THIS IS IT! Perfect for small groups! The house is falling down

The house is built unevenly and is slanted. The home is very old and outdated. Sheets and towels are stained. Bedside lamps don't work. Shower curtain is completely molded. Garage is held up by a bent pole. I would not recommend staying here. It is not close to anything and not worth the price.

Still need some work.

We had a pleasant stay but with a few complaints. The basement door was not properly sealed which left the basement very cold. Thank God there was a space heater but still too cold to use shower. Hundreds of dead flies on floors. Not near enough eating utensils for 9 people. We were constantly washing dishes. The home was advertised as close to downtown Greenville. We would never have found it without our GPS! Driveway was very steep. We would never have gotten to the road had it iced up. We were also asked to leave the trash cart at the top of this driveway, which wouldn't have been a problem except it was already full when we checked in and it took two of us to push/pull it up to the road. I think next time we will check into a hotel.

We've checked with our staff regarding the comments made by you and your daughter. Most of the statements were very exaggerated. However, the missing silverware has been replaced and the King and Queen beds now have new 800 count sheets and the interior door leading to the garage has almost been repaired. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Note to future guests... Our maintenance guy broke his leg the week before this guest check in. Trash ran the next day and it "seemed" like a simple fix. This is not a "typical" request. We make ourselves available to our guests during your stay with us. We ask that if ANY issues are observed that you contact us right away so that we can bring immediate resolution. Our goal is 4 stars or greater EVERY time! Sincerely, Yeargin Properties

Beautiful House

Our group had an amazing weekend at this house. We couldn't recommend it enough! With its perfect location, tranquil surrounds and brilliant facilities our group had a brilliant reunion/catch up weekend together, made all the better thanks to this house. The owners were extremely helpful in giving tips/recommendations about the local area but were also respectful of our group and left us to our own devices. We didn't want to leave, a perfect house for families or a group of friends getaway.

Very Disappointed

My mom rented this house so the family could be together for the holidays while in Greenville for our niece’s graduation from Clemson University. This property was a real disappointment. There are discrepancies in the listing details so beware and read everything carefully. The biggest issue, in addition to the list below, were the bugs. There were flies everywhere! The downstairs room with the bunkbeds was infested with them and our young granddaughters were too scared to sleep there. There were dead flies all over the floor in the downstairs family room and on the floor in the master bedroom. The master had live and dead stink bugs too.

Other issues:

- Listing says BR#2 has a king bed but it actually has 2 futon sofa beds.

- Master bath only has a sink and toilet and is very out dated.

- Most of the electrical outlet in the bedrooms would not hold our plugs and need replaced.

- Renovated kitchen has cracked and missing tile grout caused by the uneven floor.

- The dining chairs in the kitchen are very wobbly and screws are falling out of the legs of the chairs.

- The silverware is not adequate for 12 people, only 3 spoons and 2 forks provided.

- The extra sheets for the sofa bed have holes and are torn.

- Although the upstairs was warm, the downstairs was cold and hard to keep warm.

- The 2-car garage is not usable as the owners are using for storage. Only one garage door works and we were told to only use the garage for loading and unloading.

- The driveway is very steep and was difficult for our parents to walk up to the sidewalk that leads to the front door, which is not level and badly cracked. It was very difficult to walk on in the dark. Safety hazard.

- The driveway and parking area outside of the garage was piled high with wet leaves that we had to walk thru to load and unload the vehicles. Safety hazard.

- The outside trash dumpster was full upon our arrival. We were instructed to put the dumpster on the street at checkout which was very difficult to push/pull up the very steep driveway, especially when full of someone else’s trash. This required two people.

- There is lumber scattered below the steps of the deck. Safety hazard.

Note that although the information was outdated online, complete details are provided to our guests by e-mail prior to accepting reservation and payments. Insects -- Our Upstate Retreat is nestled on a quiet 1.5 acres with lots of mature trees. When the weather has a sharp change -- the insects try to find a new place to survive. The property is exterminated professionally on a regular schedule to help insure minimal penetration inside the home. Cleanliness and Safety are very important to us. We will continue to monitor our service team to make sure that the walkways are clear and that hazards are minimized as much as possible before guest check-in. Thank for your stay and your feedback.
