A bit of paradis

It took as 12 hours of driving to make it to this beautiful location. The owner of this condo checked up on us throughout the day and also once we arrived. We were very pleased with the condo. It was very clean and perfectly kept up. Everything was just as we had expected. The kitchen is perfectly stocked to whip up a great meal.

The location could not have been any better. The beach is just around the corner and two major grocery stores a few blocks away. Several restaurants are within walking distance and a bike rental just across the street.

St. Augustin itself is a beautiful town and with all the sightseeing's, we wish we could have stayed for another week.

We were very comfortable in the condo and enjoyed the convenience of the heated pool as well as the perfect location with everything needed being in walking distance.

To sum it up, this was an almost perfect vacation for us. ALMOST because we had to go back home after one week.

I would recommend this condo to anybody and would definitely chose it again.

Beautiful Updated Condo

We visited St. Augustine on vacation and chose this condo based on photos and description on VRBO. We were not disappointed! This condo is immaculate, furnishings new, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. So close to the beach and heated pool. Owners were great to work with and kept in touch throughout the process. We would definitely stay again!

The condo was great! The pool was warm. The ocean was right there. Couldn't be better.

The condo was very well appointed and stocked. It had beach towels, beach toys and chairs. It was clean and bright and was very well stocked for cooking and eating in. Love the new ceramic floors. Condo appears just as in the pictures. Short walk to the wonderful beach, where you could walk for hours. Would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Nice Condo Community but....

Unfortunately, these are the only complimentary things we experienced during our 3-month stay. The unit was not "immaculate" as was described in VRBO ad. Major updating needed in Kitchen, Bathrooms & all Blinds. Upon arrival, we found dirty refrigerator, clogged furnace filter and vent fan in bathroom was so dirty fan was dropping dust balls onto toilet, surrounding floor. Dirty towel found under twin bed. We replaced the furnace filter, cleaned refrigerator. Sign on bulletin board said that "if cleaning does not meet your standards, call immediately. Must be done on day of arrival". We saw this after we had done our own cleaning the day we arrived. When cleaning woman came few days later she said she had been busy on day we arrived so she sent her daughter to clean after previous week's guests and that was why unit had not been cleaned properly.

Owners told us dust and dirt due to newly installed floor INSIDE the unit in September. Grout dust still being circulated throughout. Hard to believe that if that much dust was STILL circulating after 4 months that a deep clean (scheduled or not) was not done before long term renters arrived. Vents, baseboards, louvered doors, tops of window treatments and all vertical surfaces were considered Deep Cleaning items. We had to clean inside closet doors because shoulders of shirts were dirty from contact with heavy dust louvers. Master bedroom door stained, not freshly painted. They have a No Pets policy due to owner's severe allergies. This is why we chose this place but it did not SEEM to matter what kind of air guests had to breathe.

Windows won't open, clogged with dirt build up, tracks on sliding doors filled with debris, difficult to pull vertical blinds due to age. Burned out lights in kitchen never replaced after cleaning lady said she would do it.

After several conversations with the owner during the first days of our stay and despite a higher than average charge than other VBRO owners, we were told to do our own cleaning 'as we saw fit'. This is when we gave up on reporting other items.

Yes, you can read other reviews that say the unit was clean by their standards. Owner's policy clearly stated we were entitled to our OWN standards. Would advise getting a list of what items are considered Standard Clean and items that are considered Deep Clean.

Resposta do proprietário: I appreciated this guests feedback regarding some missed cleaning items upon their arrival. Within 24 hours of arrival, she notified us and these items were remedied. The 2016 fall tile renovation took precedent over the blind replacement because we suffer from allergies. We considered this renovation more important to the aesthetic appeal and further cleanliness of the condo. That said, we already have blind replacement scheduled within 2017. The 3 reviews from fall 2016 guests and the 2 March reviews (after this guests stay) stated they love the tile, the condo is clean, is exactly as the photos on Homeaway/VRBO depict and demonstrate 5 star satisfaction. I also call/text guests upon checkout to see how they like the condo. After the tile installation, our house cleaner did a thorough clean. We personally visited a month after the tile renovation to inspect the tile and ensure cleanliness. The dust that was produced from the tile installation was not dander or allergens, but inert, concrete residue. While visiting in the fall, we changed the filter, purchased more, had our house cleaner change it more frequently. Also, we pay a professional service to maintain the HVAC system and change the filters. This service technicians contact us for unit access, so we know maintenance occurred. Due to this guests' concerns, the filters were changed 2 times more often than normally scheduled. Nearly halfway through the stay, this guests' constant concerns completely ceased. I thought all was resolved until my house cleaner sent me a photo of a section of cracked new tile. It was so damaged that the floor underneath could be seen. In the end, the tile was repaired, the dust has dissipated, and this guest has moved on. In total, this single guest's concerns exceeded the combined total questions raised by three years of tenants. Great Location and family friendly!

We stayed at this condo over our Spring Break in March of 2017. The condo had everything that we needed for a great vacation. The condo had everything we needed for the kitchen and more. It even had a crockpot! The condo was stocked with great beach towels and linens for the beds. The owner even had amazing beach chairs and noodles for the pool for us to use. The condo had toiletries that you may have left at home too!

The condo is quiet and close to the heated pool. It is a short walk to the beach from the condo. We were not able to use the other pool but it is close to the boardwalk to the ocean. The complex grounds are clean and secure.

Jean and Jeff thought of everything when preparing this condo for renters. I hope to come back soon.

Perfect place for family.

Upon arriving at the facility, we knew instantly we would be secure. The entrance is off of the main road, and it winds around to a security gate. Jean has everything anyone needs furnished. If one cooks, all necessary items are provided. There were six of us, and we had plenty of room. The condo was very clean and the washer/dryer was nice. Other furnishings include anything one would need for the beach: chairs, towels, toys, etc. Luckily, I drive a 4x4, so I could drive on the beach, which is just off of the entrance 100 yards approximately. We saw several people get stuck in the soft sand, so be careful with driving. Many convenient stores and restuarants are just within a half a mile or so. Overall, the condo is very accommodating as are the owners. Everything is very conveniently located.Thank you for having us. I do want to add, we came down to St . Augustine to dispense my husband's ashes as he loved it here. If you want to enjoy a very memorable sail boat ride for up to six people, call Always for Sail. The captain and his crew were wonderful to our family and also very accommodating. One may find it on the Internet.
