Stayed here with 5 other guys for the FSU/Miami game. Plenty of room for us...we were supposed to have 9 total but the storm changed some plans. Even with 9, it would have been decent space.
Overall impression was that everything was okay...great space, the beds were cozy and spacious, plenty of TVs, comfortable lounging, clean kitchen and bathrooms. The pool was nice...and the outdoor patio was also very nice as far as the layout and seating. But everything did need a good cleaning and not just because a storm just went through. The awnings on the patio had tons of mold on them, kind of gross actually (the pictures must be older)...so that's a big opportunity. Not to mention...the first night we were there, we saw a rat on the patio. Uh...I know we're a bunch of guys, but that was pretty gross.
Also, we couldn't get the pumps to work on the pool or hot tub and there was a lot of debris in both. Again, the storm had just come through but it doesn't appear an effort was made to clean it. The lawn/landscaping was really overgrown as well. All that...for 6 guys, really no big deal (even the rat, really)...but a family staying for the week? Maybe - and maybe the storm brought the rat...but keep THAT in mind too.
What was also weird...when we called the management co. to try and figure out the pumps for the pool/hot tub...we were told that heat for the hot tub was extra. What?! So...really it's a cold tub...and if you want a hot tub, you have to pay extra? I didn't specifically rent this so didn't sign (or view) any paper work on that...but even still...charge extra for heat in the hot tub? That really is pretty strange (and silly)...but okay... I guess we couldn't get that thrown in for all the leaves we skimmed out of the pool to use it? Lol
Anyway...again, it was a decent place...just has some issues (rat, BIG issue I'm sure for many)...and for that price...I'll go stay at the Doral...or something similar.
My family(5) shared this property for 5 days/4 nights with one other family(also 5)
-Great Location/Neighborhood- Quick drive to the beach, kids in neighborhood, quiet, people walking dogs, family friendly
-Wonderful Floor Layout-Our two families of 3 kids(toddlers) each had enough space to share and enjoy, as well as enough separation to recede into privacy to attend to the more intimate of family matters (bath-time, nursing, bedtime, discipline, naptimes, etc.)
-Kitchen-very spacious and stocked with what you need to cook meals-got used to navigating in it in no time at all
-Bathrooms-very clean and well maintained, felt very comfortable allowing children to use them without having to clean/disinfect everything
-Equipped with supplies to help traveling families (Stroller, high chair, playpen, step stool for bathroom, pool toys, grill)
-A few maintenance issues outside-Before allowing the kids to use the backyard playground, I checked it first and found that the slide was only resting on the wood, not secured to the structure itself, I was able to remove with ease and lay it on the ground. Had I not checked before, it could have been dangerous. When I called the number provided, the lady was very nice, but was not able to rectify the situation during our stay, so we unfortunately could not use this function advertised for this home. It was a bit of a disappointment. Also some of the pool deck tiles were loose which required more supervision with young children around the pool.
-The 4th bedroom is actually a renovated space in the garage, while it is nicely remodeled-it should be stated within the description for the home-reason being, this bedroom comes with the laundry room/utility room attached to it, a door that leads directly outside(locked of course, but still an exterior access), and allows for the critters that would normally creep in uninvited. (we arrived after a heavy rain and there was a big roach that crept in that bedroom from outside-apparently a common occurrence in a place like Florida but nonetheless not something you want to encounter in a bedroom)
-Some weak air ventilation in bedrooms far from unit causing it to be a bit stuffy when doors closed
Overall, it was a wonderful home, would certainly use again and recommend to friends/families. While we feel customer service could have been better concerning the slide issue, we were able to enjoy our stay at this home.
Our family loved the house. It was spacious and charming, and particularly the bedrooms were gorgeous and inviting! Unfortunately there were some maintenance issues that couldn't be resolved quickly, so we only got to stay one night. However, Casey was very understanding and helpful, so we were moved to another one of their properties - Grey Stone Manor - for the rest of our stay. And it was just brilliant! Large salt water pool that you had to drag the kids out of, and a beautifully designed and decorated house. Also liked the big collection of DVD's. I'd definitely recommend FSS for anyone looking to rent a holiday home in Fort Lauderdale!
We loved this place.
The location is excellent, near all shopping.
The house is nice and tastefully decorated.
We loved sitting in the hot tub / pool with the large screen TV.
The kids loved the jungle gym near the pool.
Lots of comfortable couches to sit on, with lots of TVs.
The beds are very comfortable.
The kitchen is very nice and practical.
I'd recommend this house highly!
Stayed with 10 people for a girls getaway.. Home was spacious and we used Uber all weekend to get around, everything was within 15 minutes (stores, shops, beach, nightlife, restaurants, etc). The two living rooms and dining tables were great, the master bedroom is huge and there is tons of closet space. I'll agree with some other reviews that it could use some updating and the 4th bedroom is a converted garage. Booking a home with this renter/agency is also somewhat complicated but communication was helpful.
The house was nice and spacious, comfortable for all of our family. Great location, central to everything we needed. The pool was lovely and the kids loved the swing set. House needs a bit of TLC and updating. Also, calling the converted garage a 4th bedroom was a bit of a stretch, but overall we were satisfied.
